La Zéna Poréta – The Humble Candlelight Dinner

One of the most beloved and authentic winter events returns to the Alpe Cimbra: La Zéna Poréta, the traditional "poor dinner" by candlelight, which over the years has become a true symbol of community, memory, and tradition.

This evening was born from the desire to rediscover the simplicity and warmth of the holidays of the past, when families would gather around the table to share a humble yet lovingly prepared meal, made with genuine ingredients and the joy of being together.

It was a moment of reflection and gratitude, when food was not about abundance, but a gesture of love and sharing.

Today, La Zéna Poréta revives that same authentic spirit, inviting everyone to turn off the lights for one evening and be illuminated only by candles and smiles, while enjoying dishes that tell the story and traditions of our mountains.


Traditional Menu:

- Pasta e fasòi (pasta and beans)
- Pan e formai nostran (bread and local cheese)
- Polenta de patate (potato polenta)
- Capusi en salata (cabbage salad)
- Strudel
- Vin contadin e acqua de Lavaròn (farmhouse wine and Lavarone spring water)


As a keepsake of this special evening, each guest may take home the bowl, glass, and ladle used during the dinner.

Adding to the charm of the night will be live music, for an experience that warms both heart and memory.

in collaboration with the Confraternity, ApT Alpe Cimbra, and the Le Fontanelle Choir.
