South Tyrolean Speck Festival Funes / Villnöss Valley

Due to the general situation, the organizers have decided to postpone the Speck Festival 2021 to 2022. We are looking forward to welcome you to the Speck Festival in Villnöss/Funes in 2022.

The production of Speck is a tradition going back hundreds of years in South Tyrol. The Funes/Villnöss valley dedicates a whole weekend in autumn to this top quality product. The festival starts on Saturday with the motto "Rural Heritage", during which an insight is given into the work and customs of farmers, and the Villnöss Brillenschaf sheep takes pride of place. And of course the farmers’ crafts aren’t forgotten either. On Sunday there’s a special highlight on the programme every year. The unveiling of the Speck surprise... the organisers always come up with something new. Alongside various Speck specialities you can also enjoy a colourful programme of entertainment, the crowning of the Speck Queen, and get to know Hans Mantinger, known as "Gleschterhans", who impresses with his Speck-slicing ability.
