Luserna is located at 1,333 meters above sea level and has been recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The town is not a Cimbrian linguistic island par excellence, where this language (Middle High German with a Bavarian accent) is still spoken by the majority of the local population.
If you visit the House of Prukk Museum, you can experience life in the entire house and the ancient traditional colors. Furthermore, several themed itineraries begin right near the apartment, illustrating history, nature, traditions, and Cimbrian legends. For example, the story of the Great War with a visit to the Lusérn factory illustrates the culture of wood and paneling, displaced from the lungs of the storyteller and personified by the local people, the local tradition amidst natural corners, woods, pastures, and panoramic views of the Astico Valley.
