Beautiful and spacious apartment in a great location

We stayed for 8 nights in this comfortable and spacious apartment renovated from what was once a laboratory. There is plenty of space and four people can easily fit in, even though there were three of us. Overall cleanliness was excellent, as was the Wi-Fi connection. We really enjoyed the slightly elevated location above the center of Corvara, very quiet and relaxing... Behind the house there is the woods and in the evening we even spotted a roe deer... Furthermore, the completely private parking is very convenient. It's interesting to walk to Colfosco from there in 10 minutes, following the paved pedestrian path, admiring the Sassongher and some beautiful sculptures related to the Stations of the Cross. Thanks to Teresa, very kind and always available, we had a great time and hope to return!

Excellent apartment

The apartment is on the ground floor with a private entrance and convenient private parking. It's very well-maintained and clean, basic but equipped with everything you need. Outside, there's a small space equipped with a table, benches, deckchairs, and an umbrella, where you can relax and soak up the sun after returning from the beautiful hikes Val Badia has to offer. The owner is very kind and welcoming, available to offer advice on what to visit and excursions suitable for children. During our vacation, at the end of summer, it was a bit chilly in the evenings, but the owner always made sure to turn on the heating and the apartment was very comfortable. The house is located above the town of Corvara, at the foot of the Sassongher. The place is very quiet, you can enjoy the spectacular view of the Sella Group. The illuminated path that leads to Colfosco starts from the house. In the evening it is common to see roe deer coming down from the woods into the meadow behind the house.

Long weekend

The apartment exceeded our expectations: cute, basic, clean, and warm. The hostess was extremely kind and always available. We'll definitely be back!

Great family accomodation

Ciasa Merscia is located up in the hill over the well-known Corvara, but at the same time the house is at the same level of another village, Colfosco. Which means that you can reach the centre of Corvara in ten minutes when going down there, but more than half an hour when you are going back. On foot, of course. In the meantime, if you want to start your skiing day in Colfosco, twenty minutes exercise walk to the ski lift will fit you just fine, especially in the morning, before the lifts begin to operate. The house is in a very peaceful area, beside the hikers' path, with a wonderful view of the villages, the valley and the famous Sella group of peaks. The ground floor accommodation for family is separated in three parts: one small and one big room, with two bulk beds in the first (the small one), and four confortable beds in the other room (the big one). There is a fully equipped kitchen and a big bathroom with all the amenities you may need during a 7-10 days stay in the mountains. Floor heating and water supply makes the atmosphere very comfortable and pleasant, and the Alfrieder family is very helpful and friendly, taking care that you feel safe and enjoy yourself in the immersive beauty of Badia and Dolomites. Planning to make a reservation there for winter 2020 already! Cheers.

Really a nice place

Casa Merscia's location is truly enchanting. It's located above the village of Corvara, a 5-minute drive away, or a 15-minute walk down the hill (the supermarket is right next to the house). A wide cycle/pedestrian path (also accessible to strollers and prams) runs right in front of the house, leading to Colfosco—a 5-minute walk. We travel with a small dog, who loved being able to roam freely along the path and in the surrounding fields. It's also lovely to have breakfast in the morning, watching the three cows pass by as they head from the barn near the house to pasture up the mountain. Three cats and a bunny kept us company around the house, and at the right times, you might even spot deer and maybe even a fox from the path (though we didn't get to see them; we went to bed too early!). As for the apartment itself, it's a more than decent setup: a large entrance hall suitable for storing gear (boots, backpacks, stroller, and, of course, skis in the winter). There are two bunk beds, separated by a door. The main bedroom has a double bed and a comfortable sofa bed, coffee table, and TV. The kitchen is small but well-stocked with pots and pans, making it perfect for everyday use. Finally, the welcome was excellent; the owner was truly kind and discreet. We had a great time and I highly recommend Casa Merscia, especially to anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains with their magnificent views.

Worth it!

We stayed four nights in July in this pleasant, spacious, and warm apartment, complete with a sofa bed, double bed, and kitchen. It's outside the center of Corvara (a 15-minute uphill walk) on the path to Colfosco (15-20 minutes), right below the Sassongher. It's suitable for families with children because it's away from the hustle and bustle of the town center. There's no Wi-Fi, but that wasn't a problem for us. The hostess was always kind and gave us excellent hiking tips. We'll be back!

Family weekend

The apartment is very beautiful, functional, and warm. It's a bit outside the center of Corvara, but for those arriving by car, this is a plus, as parking in Corvara is impossible! We even brought our dog, and he had a wonderful time. Mrs. Teresa was very kind and helpful. We'll definitely be back.
