New Year’s Week

My wife, my daughters, ages 10 and 12, and I stayed here during New Year's Eve. The apartment is very comfortable, and it's in a super central location, close to a pastry shop, bakery, supermarket, pharmacy, and train and bus stops—all within walking distance. The owners are very kind and helpful. Highly recommended for families who need comfortable accommodations.

Quiet apartment equipped with everything

We stayed with our family for four nights. The location is central and very convenient, with shops, services, and a bus stop right nearby. The apartment is very quiet and bright, with spacious rooms and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners are welcoming and attentive.

Pleasant stay

We stayed at this property, very close to the main square, for a week in a spacious second-floor apartment with a kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the owners were kind and welcoming. The property boasts centuries of history; the staircase, furniture, and paintings take you back in time. We had a wonderful time; Villabassa is also convenient for visiting numerous tourist destinations (Lake Braies, Obersee, Lake Misurina, Dobbiaco, San Candido, the Tre Cime, Monguelfo, Brunico, etc.), and there's a market in the square on Saturdays. We were also recommended several nearby places to eat. When we returned home, we also missed the sound of the river flowing past the property... This isn't a goodbye, but a see you later.

Fairytale June

For my family and I, it was a welcome return to this property, having first encountered it on a previous visit. We were able to choose the same apartment again, and the outcome was extremely positive, both in terms of the accommodations and amenities, but especially the cleanliness and courtesy of the owners and their respect. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment was comfortable, and there have been further improvements since our previous stay. In short, the motto is "good things come in threes."

Well-served family environment

We stayed in this property for 7 days, my husband really appreciated the very historic atmosphere, especially the entrance and the stairs leading to the apartments. Clean and sanitized environment with ozone. Close to all amenities with private parking. The lady is very welcoming and helpful. She reserved a double apartment for us and our children. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen. We couldn't have asked for anything better; we already had everything we needed for our vacation. I hope to be able to return in 2022. Don't forget the storage for our MTBs.

Wonderful holidays

We just spent 13 wonderful days in this splendid property and equally stunning location. Our second-floor studio apartment had it all: spotlessly clean, welcoming, and with a balcony offering a splendid view. The owners were kind and discreet, always available for any information. The location is enviable: 10 steps from the bus stops for both San Candido and Brunico, and 5 minutes from the train station. The staff at the tourist office is charming and always available to provide information and advice. I hope to return soon. If I may offer one piece of advice, use the weekly public transport pass; it's always punctual and spotlessly clean.

Excellent location but spaces need to be reviewed

The building is undoubtedly of great historical value and its location is excellent, a stone's throw from the central square. We stayed in the 6/8-person apartment on the first floor. The three double bedrooms are very large, but to access one of them you have to pass through another bedroom, which obviously compromises privacy and tranquility, especially if the group is not a family but rather a group of couples. Furthermore, the two bathrooms are located inside one of the double bedrooms, making it almost exclusively for that bedroom. The other is located outside the apartment, completely on the other side of the house, and to access it you have to cross the entire floor, past the owner's glass-walled study and the main staircase where all the guests often meet. As you can imagine, it's not the most comfortable and private, especially when showering and using the bathroom at night. For all this, I think they should reorganize the spaces better, especially regarding the kitchen, which, as the only shared space in an apartment for 6/8 people, is cramped.

Short vacation!

We spent a short vacation in the Goldener Stern apartment. The kitchen was fully equipped, the two bedrooms were spacious, and the bathroom was comfortable and clean. The hostess was always kind and helpful. Furthermore, from Villabassa, we quickly reached many beautiful nearby destinations. If we have the chance, we'd love to return!
