In the family

We were welcomed like family by the friendly young owners, Ruth and Markus Jud. This was our first impression. They were extremely kind and available for any request. The apartment has everything you could possibly need, the rooms are immaculately clean and tidy, but what we loved most was the stunning view of the Dolomites and the green meadows. Bread and milk at 7 a.m. right outside our door for a small fee, an essential service for a good start to the day: breakfast on the al fresco balcony with an incomparable view. San Candido is just a few minutes' drive away, but walking is a bit of a strenuous. Plus, a sweet treat on Sunday morning: a delicious slice of homemade cake. In short: we truly appreciated this holiday, for the silence, the nature, and the hospitality. Thank you, Jud family!

Dream vacation

We stayed at the Jud family's Oberpappinghof farm for 10 days. The farm is in a wonderful panoramic location overlooking the green meadows and rocky mountains typical of the Dolomites. It's convenient for reaching the center of San Candido, about a 4-minute drive away, or a 30-minute walk along the bike path (recommended for its relaxing and undemanding nature). Ruth and Markus are the owners: young, extremely kind, and helpful. Ruth welcomed us with great kindness and friendliness, and showed us the apartment and any amenities we might need (in the morning, right outside our door, milk from their cows and fresh bread from a bakery in the center of San Candido, the best ever. These are obviously extra services that come at a cost, but they're negligible). The apartment is bright and welcoming. It's equipped with everything you need for cooking, washing (with a washing machine), and hanging out clothes (with a drying rack and pegs), although Ruth took care of changing our linens halfway through our stay. The bedroom balcony, complete with table and chairs, allowed us to relax with a breathtaking view and the warm September sun. The setting is quiet and relaxing. We can't recommend this place enough for a night's stay if you decide to vacation in San Candido. We left with our eyes full of beautiful things and a happy heart, certainly thanks to the wonderful places we saw, but also to the wonderful stay at the Oberpappinghof.

Family stay

We stayed at this farm the last week of August. My wife, I, and two children, ages 7 and 11. Ruth welcomed us so kindly and, after showing us our apartment, showed the barn with the cows to the children, who went wild with joy! The apartment was spotless and very spacious, with two large bedrooms, a bathroom, two terraces, a living room with a kitchenette, and a closet. The next morning, she left us some delicious homemade apple pie. Markus showed the children how the cows are milked and how the hay is distributed. Whatever we asked, they were always available and ready to advise us on where to go and what to do. A top-notch vacation! If we decided to return to San Candido, we'd have no doubts: Oberpapping forever! Well done!

Wonderful summer holidays

Excellent hospitality, kind and friendly owners. They were also very accommodating with children, who were able to experience the welcoming farm atmosphere with visits to the stables with cows and calves. The location is beautiful, with spectacular views and well-maintained apartments. We'll definitely be back.

Life on the farm is a unique experience

Family vacation

Splendid view, tranquility and friendliness

Waking up in the morning greeted by some of the most beautiful peaks in the Dolomites is priceless. To this wonder, the Oberpapping farm adds comfortable and spotlessly clean apartments, a riot of flowers on the balconies and in the garden, the tranquility of the woods and meadows behind the house, proximity to San Candido without the inconvenience of the August crowds, Ruth's smile and outgoing nature, her mother's affectionate warmth, and Markus's kindness and helpfulness, all of which are extremely discreet. This year, a giant wood stork announced the arrival of little Lotta, born in late July and sister to shy Liam. What more could you ask for? If the Pusteria Valley is already a beloved place, the Oberpapping farm is undoubtedly the ideal place to fully enjoy it.

Beautiful place
