Gressoney-La-Trinité is at the foot of the Monte Rosa massif, in the Lys Valley (also known as Gressoney Valley), which is crossed by the Lys river.
On this side of Monte Rosa you can admire the peaks of the Eastern Lyskamm (4527 meters, the highest point of the valley) and Western Lyskamm (4481 meters), the Castor (4226 meters) and the Vincent Pyramid (4215 meters).
In winter, Gressoney-La-Trinité is an important ski resort in Valle d’Aosta, which belongs to the famous Monterosa Ski area. From here, you can also easily reach both Champoluc in the Ayas Valley and Alagna Valsesia, in the Sesia Valley.
Not to be missed: the Ethnographic Museum and the Walser Ecomuseum, also comprising a rural farmhouse.
A typical local speciality is the Gressoney Toma, a type of cheese that has been included into the list of Slow Food products.
In the nearby Gressoney-La-Trinité, a short car drive away, there are several supermarkets, shops and restaurants.
