The house consists of two apartments and is located in the Aosta Valley, in the valley of Champorcher at 1000 metres above sea level in the municipality of Pontboset, hamlet Pialemont, a small village inhabited by a couple of families. Free parking at the service of the village.
It is 15 km from Champorcher and 9 km from Fort Bard.
The municipality of Pontboset consists of many small villages scattered along the middle valley of Champorcher. It’s crossed by the impetuous Ayasse stream that, over the millennia, has dug deep and wild gorges, creating very impressive views. The confluence with two other lateral streams, the Brenve and the Manda, has led to the construction of numerous bridges, which gave the town its name and distinguish the area in a peculiar way.
In Pontboset, there is a stretch of the "route of the ravines": with a short walk you can reach the Ratus gorge, which can be observed in the lower part, starting from Frontières, or in the upper part, following the signs in the centre of Pontboset.
More demanding excursions allow you to reach the sanctuary of Retempio, which enjoys a spectacular view of the Monte Rosa mountain chain and the Matterhorn, or the village of Crest, the second stop of the "Alta Via".
The "walk of the six bridges" is a not too demanding path that crosses the area’s three steams in several points, thus creating the need to cross six bridges.
