Our alpine hut is located high above the Gsies Valley on the Stumpfalm, surrounded by a popular hiking and ski touring area in the Puster Valley.
In summer, the alpine pasture is ideal for nature lovers, mountain hikers, and paragliders, while in winter the area becomes a true hidden gem for ski tourers, snowshoe hikers, and tobogganers.
Facilities of the alpine hut:
Our alpine hut consists of a simple living kitchen with a wood-burning stove (running hot and cold water). From the kitchen, you can access the three bedrooms (one double room, one room with two single beds, and one room with a single bed). The essential oils of the Swiss pine wood used in the hut promote healthy and restful sleep. In the attic there is a mattress dormitory, while on the ground floor there is a stable for the cows and cattle that graze on the Stumpfalm during the summer months. In addition, our alpine hut features a shower with WC and a large terrace.
Pets are not allowed. We rent out our alpine hut only for stays of a minimum of 10 nights. Stays are not possible in July, as the hut is already fully booked.
