Ca’ Agnel, much more than a holiday home

Caterina, the host, was incredibly kind and helpful. Present yet discreet, she helped create a friendly atmosphere right from the start with us and our dog, Napo. She also helped us become friends with the other people staying at Ca' Agnel, which, as I mentioned in the title, is much more than a vacation rental. It's a house with two apartments, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. We stayed in the one on the upper floor, which retains wonderful furnishings, such as the stube (traditional wood-burning stove) and the decorated wooden writing desk in the living room. Caterina told us that the house was once inhabited by her aunt Jolanda and that it was converted from a barn in the early 1900s thanks to her grandfather's hard work and dedication, at a time when living in the mountains was no walk in the park. Keeping it alive and well today is her mission, a mission she has accomplished with flying colors: the house lacks nothing, everything is there for those who arrive, from towels to sheets. Need a corkscrew? A potato peeler? A hairdryer? A can opener? Pillows? It really has it all. The rooms (two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a new kitchen that's perfectly integrated into the layout) are not only tidy and spotless, but they smell wonderful, as if Aunt Jolanda just dropped by to freshen up. And then, try opening a window and you'll see the Dolomites in all their splendor: breathtaking!

Wonderful apartment

We stayed in the Piano Terra apartment for eight nights and could not have been happier with our stay. The apartment was exactly what we were looking for. The rooms and bathrooms had been newly renovated, and everything was spotless upon our arrival. The kitchen was fully equipped. The only appliance missing is a microwave, but this is quite common in Italy and was not an issue for us. We also greatly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the olive oil and other pantry essentials provided. Thank you so much, Caterina! This was our second stay at the property, and we would absolutely stay here again if we return to Cortina. It truly feels like a home away from home. Caterina is an exceptional host—kind, incredibly helpful, and always quick to respond whenever we had a question. We wholeheartedly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Cortina. We cannot wait to come back.

Stay for UTMB

Cà Agnel was our base during the UTMB week. Caterina is a wonderful host, always available both before and during our stay. We stayed in the first-floor apartment and everything was perfect: clean, organized, and comfortable (even for our newborn). We really appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and the washing machine. The location is excellent, just a few minutes by car and the bike/pedestrian path to Cortina is right outside the door. Stunning views of the Tofane mountains, picture-perfect! We'll definitely be back!

Feeling at home

This is the third year I've rented this house during the Christmas season. Every time I return, my daughters and I feel at home, and by the end of the holiday, we never want to leave. The house is in a great location, so it's always sunny and bright; the apartment is spotless and incredibly comfortable. The host is very hospitable, attentive to detail, and always available to meet our many needs. I can't recommend this place highly enough; I'll definitely be back!

Your relaxing corner in Cortina

We've been vacationing in Cortina for several years, but this year we had a truly wonderful time. The apartment is new, beautiful, quaint, spotlessly clean, and equipped with all the comforts for a relaxing vacation. The location is excellent (close to the promenade). The owner's warm welcome made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommended!

Excellent location for a peaceful stay in Cortina

From the first contact, Mrs. Caterina proved to be helpful and friendly, and this was confirmed once we arrived; she always finds time to chat and make sure everything is going well. There were four of us, my husband and my children, all adults, and we stayed in the ground-floor apartment, which was completely renovated, impeccable, finished down to the last detail, and carefully furnished in the style of a traditional mountain home. Everything was very functional, the linens provided were top-quality, and everything needed for daily cleaning was also provided. The showers in the two bathrooms were terrific; four adults stayed comfortably. Last but not least, the private garden is noteworthy, complete with decking adjacent to the house and tables for outdoor dining. Deckchairs are also available to enjoy the sun and the stunning view: surrounded by the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites, the Tofane, Croda da Lago, and even Lagazuoi, what a spectacle! The apartment is located in Zuel, just under three kilometers from Cortina, perfect for enjoying the tranquility of the mountains but convenient for all the excursions in the Ampezzo area. For shopping, you can choose between Cortina and San Vito di Cadore. What can I say? Everything was great! I highly recommend this accommodation for its location, comfort, cleanliness, and friendliness.

Apartment in excellent condition

We participated in the Lavarode Ultra Trail. The apartment was fully renovated, beautifully maintained, and in excellent condition, providing a very comfortable base for our activities. Our host, Caterina, was extremely helpful and attentive, making the overall experience smooth and enjoyable.

Living room with a stunning view

We had a great time at Cà Agnel. Caterina is a kind and empathetic person who welcomed us with a warm smile. The apartment is located in Zuel di Sopra, a quiet area not far from Cortina but far from the chaos. It's spotlessly clean, fully equipped, and nestled in a fairytale setting. The terrace offers an exceptional view: green meadows, woods, and the Ampezzo Dolomites, including the Tofane Mountains. Numerous walks are available nearby (suitable for both experienced hikers and families). I hope to return with my friends.

Wonderful apartment with nice view and amazing surroundings.

Caterina was the best host we had in a long time! She is just lovely and welcoming. She wrote to me before going and provided all the information we needed, and once we arrived there she made sure we had everything we needed; we actually felt like home from day one. The apartment was wonderfully furnished, very clean and more spacious than we imagined from the pictures. We stayed there for a week, and enjoyed everything about the apartment and the surroundings. The 2 rooms were very cosy, and the fact that we had 2 bathrooms was nice. One small inconvenient was that the internet didn’t work, maybe because of the construction work done to the apartment below, but other than that everything was great. Thank you Caterina for having us and especially for your involvement with everything related to LUT! We will definitely come back to this apartment next time we will travel to Cortina, it was wonderful.

The Dolomites from the window

Ca' Agnel was a wonderful discovery for us, for many reasons. The house—an authentic mountain residence—is splendid, nestled in a tiny cosmos, Zuel di Sopra, which smells of meadows and forests. The view is breathtaking: you're surrounded by some of the most beautiful peaks of the Ampezzo Dolomites, the Tofane mountains in every window. Caterina, the owner, is kind, attentive, and takes care of every detail to make your holiday enjoyable. Ca' Agnel is equipped with every comfort and is immaculately clean, so much so that we—a bit obsessed with hygiene—didn't even lift a finger before staying there. A precious place, worth respecting, so we can enjoy it again on our next vacation.

A magnificent experience

How to feel at home

Caterina is very kind, welcoming, and makes you feel at home. Her house is perfect for 4-5 people, very well organized, simple, and clean. All the furnishings are new, tasteful, and high-quality. Zuel is absolutely the best place in Cortina, well-served by the supermarket, yet just a twenty-minute walk or bike ride from the center. Thanks to all this, we had an unforgettable Christmas vacation, a joy! I highly recommend this owner and this house, and we'll be happy to return!

Tranquility a short distance from the center

The house is fully equipped for both the kitchen and bathroom. Direct access to the garden from the kitchen is truly convenient. The location is very quiet, and you can reach the city center in 10 minutes by bike, following the bike path that passes behind the house. There's an exceptional 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains. Caterina, the owner, is incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

Five-star apartment

New apartment, furnished with care and taste, kitchen equipped with microwave oven, electric oven, dishwasher, freezer, all new and top-brand appliances. Spacious and comfortable rooms, two spacious bathrooms. All rooms have French windows with direct access to a large balcony. Caterina, the owner, is very kind and helpful. I recommend it.
