Holiday at the Gapphof

The Gapphof in Algund is a true gem in the Merano region. Nestled within its own organic apple orchard, it boasts a harmonious garden with a natural swimming pond and numerous secluded spots. The holiday apartments are modern and comfortable, and dogs are warmly welcomed. The receptionist, Erika, provides guests with helpful tips and a varied breakfast selection. No wonder the Gapphof is so popular with guests! We and our dog Joyce felt very comfortable. We will definitely come back. Best regards, the Taphorn family

A magical place

Far above expectations. Wonderful apartments where you can feel truly pampered, tastefully furnished and in a stunning setting. Complete with every comfort, more than at home. The owner was delightful and we really appreciated the homemade products she made available to customers. If we have the opportunity we will definitely return and we highly recommend it.

Excellent structure

Recently renovated apartments, tastefully furnished, spacious and equipped with every comfort. Clio is an excellent host, welcoming and available for any request. The location is strategic, just steps from Merano, with easy access to public transportation. Highly recommended, especially for our four-legged friends, who are welcome.

A wonderful break in a beautiful location with warm and welcoming hosts.

This was our second holiday at the Gapphof. Our hosts, Clio and Christian, welcomed us with a delicious three-course vegetarian meal and gave us a wonderfully relaxing evening after our long journey. The Prior apartment is tastefully and thoughtfully planned and furnished down to the last detail. The large covered terrace offered a pleasant space for reading and chatting, even in the rain. It was our first time traveling with our dog, and they had thought of everything. They even asked about his size before we arrived so they could have the right dog bed ready in the apartment. Bowls, dog towels, and poop bags were all there. If they had also provided food, he would have had a full meal plan! :-) Wonderful walks among the apple trees and wild romps with Weimaraner Silver. Afterwards, our sweet furry monster even got to cool off in the shallow pond area. Everything was perfect. We felt very comfortable again and were warmly looked after by our hosts.

Pure relaxation!

We spent a week in Apartment Stark and felt completely relaxed after just a few days. Clio and her husband welcomed all guests with a wonderful meal on the first evening. The breakfasts on the following days, featuring regional and homegrown products, are also highly recommended. The apartment is furnished to a very high standard, and the balcony overlooks the family's apple orchards – with a beautiful mountain panorama in the background. Because the train station is nearby and public transport is included in the South Tyrol Pass, you can easily reach all the sights without needing your car. For our daughter, the swimming pond was another highlight. The modern and very straightforward communication via a user-friendly booking tool and subsequent follow-up via WhatsApp and other messaging apps is also worth mentioning. A definite recommendation – with or without a dog!

After the lockdown: Finally, a vacation again!

A feel-good holiday from day one. Apartment and grounds in excellent condition as usual. The natural pool can be used for refreshment, but unfortunately there is a lot of algae due to the high temperatures. Very positive: The entire facility is now only for house guests (no more weddings, etc.)!

Beautiful garden, great apartment, lovely hosts

We didn't know Clio when we arrived; but after two minutes it felt completely different. With her warm and friendly manner, she showed us the beautiful garden and the rest of the farm. We stayed in apartment Granny. It was just as lovely as in the pictures, only the bathroom was even nicer. The kitchen had everything we needed, just as described. The large terrace was surrounded by a fragrant privacy screen. Our dog could roam freely on it. The garden with its swimming pond is indescribably beautiful. Since it's only a small holiday farm, every guest can find a place to relax. You can buy things at the farm shop anytime. Every morning we looked forward to the breakfast bag with its changing selection of treats. We were also welcome to help ourselves to the herbs in the garden. We also made good use of the guest card, which offers discounts. All the information can be found on the tablet in the holiday apartment, which was filled with information by Clio. It was very nice and very relaxing. We highly recommend it and would love to come back. Thank you so much.

Dreamlike & stylish ambience and beautiful garden

A beautiful gem is hidden behind the Gapphof. The house and apartments have been lovingly renovated in recent years, featuring a stylish ambiance, superb design, and individual touches – everything has been thought of. Breakfast is also lovingly prepared daily, focusing on the hotel's own sustainable and organic products from the garden and/or the surrounding area. The garden, the orchard, as well as the waterways and swimming pool, have all been tastefully designed and integrated into the landscape. The personal highlight is the ancient cellar, which provided us with a wonderful place to spend an evening in autumn – here, old vaults have been given a very modern interpretation, with individual corners dedicated to different themes and featuring a bar. You can also find local and, in some cases, handcrafted goods for sale here. The concept is coherent and exceptionally well implemented. An important point: Even during the Corona pandemic, a concept was developed with the utmost care that makes a stay during this time easily feasible - with great foresight, all rules were implemented and as a guest you feel very well taken care of.
