We've been coming to Linserhof ever since the children weren't so small anymore. The advantage for us was, and still is, that you can quickly reach the bakery, the newsagent, the pharmacy, the small, charming restaurants, the ice cream parlor, and even the pedestrian zone and other beautiful corners of Lana on a longer evening stroll, all within walking distance.
Linserhof is situated almost in the heart of things, yet absolutely peaceful. You almost expect to hear the bells of the nearby St. Peter's Church. The holiday apartments are being gradually renovated and updated (this is done during the off-season). Everything you could possibly need is provided. And if something is missing or a lightbulb needs replacing, it's taken care of as quickly as possible. The owners are very friendly, almost familial – if you want them to be. The little "gifts" from the garden (fruit, vegetables, herbs) are always a welcome opportunity to chat. The house also has a garden where guests can barbecue, eat, relax, or play badminton, for example. Younger guests are welcome and have plenty of safe space to run around. The beautiful Adige Valley is best explored by bicycle – I highly recommend it. That's why Linserhof (as of 2016) has two bicycles available.

Wir kommen, seitdem die Kinder nicht mehr so klein sind, zum Linserhof. Der Vorteil für uns war und ist immer noch, dass man zu Fuß ganz schnell den Bäcker, den Zeitungsladen, die Apotheke, die kleinen feinen Restaurants, die Eisdiele aber auch bei einem längeren Abendspaziergang die Fußgängerzone und andere wunderschöne Ecken von Lana erreichen kann.
Zwar fast mittendrin und trotzdem absolut ruhig ist es auf dem Linserhof. Fast wartet man auf den Glockenschlag der nahe gelegenen St. Peter-Kirche. Die Ferienwohnungen werden nach und nach renoviert und auf den neuesten Stand gebracht (dies geschieht außerhalb der Saison). Bei der Ausstattung ist an alles gedacht. Und wenn doch mal etwas fehlt oder eine Glühlampe muss mal ausgewechselt werden, dann wird das so schnell wie möglich erledigt. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern ist sehr freundlich, fast familiär - wenn man selbst will. Die kleinen "Geschenke" aus dem Garten (Obst, Gemüse, Kräuter) sind immer wieder ein willkommener Anlass, um miteinander ins Gespräch zu kommen. Zum Haus gehört auch ein Garten, in dem die Gäste grillen, essen, sich ausruhen oder z.B. Federball spielen können. Kleine Gäste sind auch willkommen und haben genügend und sicheren "Auslauf". Das schöne Etschtal lernt man am besten durch eine Fahrradtour kennen - kann ich nur empfehlen. Deswegen gibt es auf dem Linserhof (Stand 2016) zwei Fahrräder.
Kurzum, der Linserhof gefällt uns sehr gut und deshalb können wir ihn auch weiterempfehlen.
