Beautiful house on the edge of the woods. The furnishings are very well-finished, as are all the amenities. The owners are two really talented guys. Super quiet location, but at the same time close to various activities.

Super nice and helpful hosts and a generously sized holiday apartment

Whether it was help with travel arrangements, a forgotten extension cord for our fondue set, or anything else: Nathalie and Gerhard were always very helpful. And they are both incredibly nice. The bedrooms are unusually spacious for holiday apartments. Both the bedrooms and the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area offer plenty of storage space for personal belongings (games, supplies, etc.), which is something we've experienced differently in other accommodations. The kitchen has (almost) everything you need. We only wish it had an oven or at least a microwave, and knives without serrations. A balcony runs around half the apartment, so you usually have the opportunity to sit in the sun. The apartment is very easy to heat, the underfloor heating in the bathroom is great. The Wi-Fi is stable and didn't let us down even with 3 heavy teenage users. The garage is also very practical, eliminating the need to remove snow and especially ice from the car.

We can’t wait to come back!

We spent a wonderful week in the Bergblick apartment at Grossgasteigerhof. We immediately felt at home; the apartment is truly comfortable, well-furnished, and equipped with everything you need. It fully corresponds to the photos on the website, the cleanliness is impeccable in all areas. It's ideally located, just a 5-minute walk from the town center and a 10-minute drive from Campo Tures. Yet, you're still immersed in nature and absolute silence. From the terrace you can enjoy a view of the entire valley and the surrounding mountains. Not essential, but much appreciated by the little ones are the slide, swing, and table football! From there you can set off on various hikes either directly from the house or just a few minutes' drive away, both in the Selva dei Molini valley and in the Aurina valley. The owners are truly helpful and kind, and among other services they also offer the possibility of having fresh milk, bread, and other local products early in the morning. At the end of the holiday the desire is to return as soon as possible!

For the second time at the Grossgasteigerhof

Holiday with friends

Since we have now spent several holidays at Unterhofers' place in Mühlwald, a friendly relationship has developed. The Unterhofer family are wonderful hosts. We always have the downstairs apartment with the Tyrolean-style living room. Very cozy. Jakob and Maria always gave us great tips for day trips. In many conversations, our hosts provided us with information about South Tyrol (including its history). It's always very relaxing.

Beautiful holiday in a real farmhouse

Wonderful vacation, in a real farmhouse! Very comfortable and well-equipped. Despite the heavy snowfall, the street cleaning service was excellent.

Exceptional!

Exceptional! A place to "keep hidden." The location is ideal, just 300 meters from the main road, with a spectacular view and all the comforts needed for a wonderful vacation. The owners are very kind and attentive to detail (even though it snowed overnight, the access road was always clear and easy to navigate).

Relaxing South Tyrol holiday

We, two adults from the far north, enjoyed a very relaxing and restorative holiday with the Unterhofer family at the Grossgasteigerhof farm. We particularly liked the rustic farmhouse parlor in the ground-floor apartment. We had fantastic weather and enjoyed breathtaking hikes. The rustic farmhouse-style living room, the Wi-Fi, and the 40-inch flat-screen TV were definite pluses. The autumn scenery was beautiful. Absolutely no downsides!

Familiarity and tranquility

We stayed at the farm for 12 days in August and found peace, tranquility, and a warm welcome. Jakob and Maria made us feel at home, and their farm is located in a somewhat isolated spot, yet perfect for nature lovers. With the Mobilcard, we toured the Aurina Valley and discovered enchanting places, which, combined with the family atmosphere of the farm, made this holiday unforgettable. The apartment is well-furnished, clean, and spacious (we stayed with six people). Jakob and Maria made us feel right at home. If you love nature and tranquility, this is the place for you. The starry skies with very little light pollution are unforgettable.

Beautiful apartment but not worth the three flowers of the red rooster

Fantastic apartment and truly unique location of the Maso. I would like to point out that the "three flowers" of the Red Rooster are supposed to mean "great farm experiences," but, at least in our case, the farm experience was missing and we simply stayed in an apartment... In short: beautiful apartment but no farm experience.

A beautiful weekend

We spent last weekend at the Grossgasteigerhof farmhouse in Selva dei Molini. Upon our arrival we received a warm welcome and found some wonderful people. The apartment (we were on the first floor) was very clean and warm with all the comforts. The bathroom was very warm with underfloor heating and a heated towel rail, and was very clean. Two beautiful double bedrooms and a bedroom with a single bed, a lovely living room with a well-stocked kitchenette. Finally, a beautiful balcony that surrounds the house with a breathtaking view. I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend some time surrounded by nature. I'll definitely be back this summer. Renato.
