Farm inn Koasa-Hof the Aurina valley/Ahrntal
It’s a guest house, a hostel, it has rooms to rent. It’s a place for sharing, for meeting, for exchanging. You may call it a spot for special days, at a peculiar farm in South Tyrol. It’s Koasa-Hof. Come on in, the hosts will show you your happy place.
It took them a while until they have found their living and housing perfection. It’s no wonder though, as every cobble, each wooden piece, even concrete is far away from incidental composition. There’s hardly a coincidence to find here. The result of Koasa is solid exploration, creative partners and the experience of many years of hosting guests.
You will find tradition in the details and a vision in this concept. This farm house is born from the hosts’ passion, and turns into their living and working spot.
This is their philosophy
The guesthouse Koasa is a place for people who enjoy composing their own active travels. A pretty different location from others, this is what local people keep saying; it is distinctive, so they mean. Do you think you would like to spend your vacation at Koasa?
The rooms
Koasa can host two to six people in one room. Each room has access to the shared kitchen and living area.
Rent out the complex. Offer for group travel.
This is your site if you are a bunch of people who would like to spend their vacation together, as you may rent the whole building. In this case the guest wing will be all yours, still teh hosts are close enough in case you need any assistance. This is what they propose: Rent out all five rooms, kitchen included. Hence, you will prepare your group breakfast on your owns (hosts can assist the organization). For lunch you may try out lunch on one of the about 80 cabins of the Valley Aurina. You might cook dinner back at the Koasa Farm Inn. You will love the professional kitchen equipment.

A great location, also for large groups

We (5 families, a total of 18 people) spent a week skiing in the Ahrntal valley in February 2024. It was a fantastic holiday and our accommodation was a dream! The house is brand new, everything smells of wood and Swiss pine, the kitchen and rooms are very thoughtfully and tastefully furnished, and you feel extremely comfortable with the hosts Cinzia and Markus! There is a spacious common room, a superbly equipped kitchen, a ski room with boot dryers and a sauna. Furthermore, it is possible to charge electric cars directly at the house. The Koasahof is very idyllically situated, offering a great view of the mountains, and the Speikboden and Klausberg ski areas are easily and quickly accessible by ski bus. There was plenty to do for the children besides skiing – a beautiful garden with a playground, a great library and a wonderful lantern hike with Markus made the holiday an unforgettable experience for everyone – thank you so much! We are already looking forward to our next stay at the Koasahof!

Authenticity

We found this fantastic Koasa Hof by chance, leaving at the last minute for a three-night mini-vacation and calling several places along the way. We were immediately struck and intrigued by Markus's helpfulness and hearty laugh as he told us about his property and gave us precise directions. He greeted us warmly in the parking lot, provided us with plenty of information, and gave us a card that allowed us to forget about our car and use the excellent public transportation throughout the Aurina Valley, including free admission to several museums. The farm exudes harmony and positive energy. It's a modern construction that showcases ancient and local materials. Fir and larch wood, marble, and concrete, carefully blended. The large granite blocks unearthed during the excavation were placed in the lawn in front of the house, like a modern-day Stonehenge. Here, guests can gather in the evenings around a fire that Markus lights for himself and his guests in a large brazier, chatting, lingering in silence, and gazing at the stars. Every object in the house has a story that Markus and Cinzia tell with pleasure and delicacy at the same time, showing all the love for their work, their land and the traditions that allow them to preserve an identity even today. Our room was spotless and functional, with a very comfortable bed and a large window overlooking the valley and the forest. There's also access to a small spa. Another delightful surprise is Cinzia's fabulous breakfast buffet. It ranges from sweet to savory, with a focus on a wide variety of high-quality local products that vary daily. While you feast on a hearty meal, Cinzia will tell you where she buys her mountain butter, herb cheese, and dandelion honey, and offer suggestions for day trips. Looking up from the French window, five or six very clean, fat chickens are happily scratching around. You truly feel welcomed and pampered like family, because everything is spontaneous and relaxed, like among old friends. We recommend Koasa to anyone looking for authenticity!

Simply pampered

A fantastic week-long stay in a recently built farmhouse. The room and furnishings were all wood, the bed overlooked the mountains, and the breakfast was meticulously prepared with the freshest, carefully selected ingredients, with new options every day. But beyond all this, what made our family vacation truly unique was the attentiveness of the owners. Markus and Cinzia are exceptional people who pampered us from start to finish. Every morning, we found them ready and willing to offer advice on how to best plan our day. In the afternoon, they organized strudel snacks and let us taste typical local cheeses, explaining their meanings and traditions. We truly felt welcomed and cared for. Thank you! Highly recommended!

Semplicemente coccolati

Ci siamo veramente sentiti accolti e curati. Grazie!
Consigliatissimo!

Charming maso in Valle Aurina

We had a lovely one-week stay at this charming maso. It is conveniently located, close to the main road, yet quiet and peaceful. The room was exceptionally clean and well-furnished, with plenty of storage space. We woke up each morning after a comfortable sleep to a view of the valley and the sound of chickens. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with beautiful flowers from the garden on each table. One afternoon, we were treated to a tasting of local cheese, potatoes from the garden, and homemade butter. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, with good suggestions of activities and restaurants. We look forward to returning next year!

A dream in the Ahrntal

Cinzia and Markus are the people who simply make your holiday sweeter. A superb breakfast buffet, lovingly prepared by Cinzia with regional products and everything your heart could desire. Fresh eggs from their own chickens. One evening we were treated to local grey cheese from the valley. A walk in nature with Markus, who shares his extensive knowledge of the Ahrntal valley with us. Beautiful, clean rooms with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Beds that offer a restful sleep. A sauna that can be heated at any time. And lots of personal tips and the provision of suitable route plans that make the daily excursions something special. To be precise, nobody wants to leave here anymore... We are really looking forward to next time.

Betten in denen man erholsam schläft.
