Three weeks of true relaxation

We stayed for three weeks with our parents, both in their 80s, in the Family Suite apartment at Villa Otto. We had some logistical needs, which were fully met, both thanks to the comforts offered by the property and the courtesy and thoughtfulness of the owner, Matthias, who was always available and friendly. We also appreciated the excellent cleanliness of the rooms and the bucolic and relaxing location of the villa. We will definitely be back next year!

Light, comfort and tranquility

From the first moment we arrived, we loved the spacious, bright, and well-furnished apartment. It's a bit far from the town center, but for this very reason, it's very quiet. The bus stop (with free unlimited bus tickets provided by the owner) and the town center are also just a few minutes' walk away. The owners were very kind and generous with their attention and useful suggestions for our walks/visits. The cycle and pedestrian path passes right in front of the house, allowing you to reach Ortisei in about half an hour on foot. We had a wonderful five weeks and will cherish this reference for ourselves and for our friends and family. Once again, a heartfelt thank you to Matthias and Rita, also for the pleasant chats.

Beautiful apartment and an excellent host

Villa Otto made our trip to the Dolomites special! Matthias (our excellent host) was there to great us when we arrived and gave us good, detailed info about the surrounding areas including maps and a link to the useful local web site. He offered great suggestions that really helped us plan our time. The apartment was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, well equipped, spacious, and comfortable. We also made use of the Wi-Fi and laundry facilities which were both great. The location was perfect and we were glad to have indoor parking. If we are lucky enough to visit the Dolomites again, we'd definitely pick Villa Otto as our home base.

Great stay

We stayed at Villa Otto last week. Comfortable, well-furnished and, above all, very clean apartment. In a quiet, relaxing location, close to the stream but at the same time convenient to the town center and the bus stop. It is possible to set off directly from the house for excursions in the area. The Mussner family offered us a warm welcome, always kind and helpful. Matthias gave us tons of information about itineraries, hikes in Val Gardena, transportation, restaurants, and everything else in the area. Highly recommended!

Villa Otto is a dream!

We had a fantastic experience in this meticulously maintained and spotlessly clean apartment in a villa just outside Santa Cristina. Upon our arrival, we immediately appreciated the warm welcome of the Mussner family, who provided us with a wonderful stay, taking great care of our little girl, even providing her with toys and a small welcome gift. They were always available and friendly, ready to provide us with a wide range of information to help us make the most of our stay. Highly recommended!

Holiday at Villa Otto

We just returned from our beloved Dolomites vacation, once again in Val Gardena, welcomed at Villa Otto by the Mussner family: Matthias and Rita, their children, and their cat Lilly. It was truly reassuring to find their politeness, discretion, helpfulness, and genuine love for nature and the environment they so carefully protect and preserve. The house is in a wonderful location, slightly tucked away from the center of Santa Cristina, which is easily reached on foot and from which you can access numerous trails for every need. The apartments are spacious and bright, equipped with everything you need, and immaculately clean. The covered garage allows you to forget about your car, avoiding traffic and pollution. The Mobilcard, which is offered to guests, allows free use of public transportation, buses, and trains throughout South Tyrol. Bright greenery, silence, and the sound of the flowing stream promote rest and nourishing regeneration for body and soul. Returning to Villa Otto and this wonderful and welcoming family is like leaving a corner of paradise. Thank you again.

Relax and hike in the Dolomites

Villa Otto is an ideal base camp for exploring the mountains of Val Gardena. Excellent for its convenience and easy access to the trails, it's ideal for relaxing between hikes. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the accommodations were welcoming, just like home. An experience to repeat!

A great stay

It is a very good equipped apartment - also very spacious. We have been provided with all things a 2-year-old child needs, from a high chair for eating, to a crib for sleeping, a cup and plate with children cutlery and even a potty was not missing. We could have our own bike depo, and we could use the laundry room with a washing machine and tumble drier. Also, the owner is very helpful and friendy. He told us about all the playgrounds near the apartment and which hikes are worth to go with a small child. Also, our dog was welcome. So all in one, it felt like home and I can only recommend coming here and find all the benefits on your own.

We’ll be back!

I stayed with my family for 4 nights at Villa Otto. The property is very beautiful, comfortable, impeccably clean, equipped with every necessary accessory, with green space outside and games for children. The area is excellent, with numerous walks you can do even without taking the car, convenient for reaching the main cable cars and tourist areas that offer breathtaking scenery (just to name two, the Alpe di Siusi, and the Panaraida route, not to be missed if you are with children). As for the owner, what can I say... incredibly kind and helpful! Unfortunately, we had to reschedule our reservation twice, and he always accommodated us. He greeted us with some toys he'd set up in the garage especially for the kids since it was raining outside. We then toured the house to make sure everything was fine, and he spent a good hour with us, showing us flyers, photos, and maps of all the things to do in the area. He even gave us bus tickets to get around, and gave us information on restaurants and supermarkets to buy what we needed. These little touches made us feel welcomed and at home. What can I say... 4 days were too short. We'll definitely be back!

Everything perfect!

We stayed at this property for a week and can say we were completely satisfied with what we found! The property is located just outside the town of Santa Cristina, but it's just a few minutes' walk to the town center and all its amenities (bars, restaurants, shops, buses, and a supermarket). Furthermore, the location guarantees absolute tranquility and is an excellent starting point for all the excursions in the area! The apartment is spacious, fully equipped (even a dishwasher!), very bright, and features a lovely private garden. The property is immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. In conclusion, not only do we recommend it, but we also hope to return soon!

Regenerating holiday in Val Gardena

Let me start by saying that my wife and I have been mountain lovers for many years, but we'd always taken week-long vacations, always in hotels. This time, we wanted to extend our stay by a week to recover from this horrible lockdown and move into an apartment. My wife found it online, and thanks to the excellent reviews, we chose Villa Otto. The apartment is beautiful and spotlessly clean, with private entrances. Ours has a front garden with an idyllic view, full of greenery and a flowing stream that provides a magnificent soundtrack, along with the birdsong and the soothing silence. The Mussner family, who own the apartment, were gracious and extremely kind in welcoming us and always ready to provide information and advice whenever we asked. The surroundings are fairytale-like, enchanting, and every step of the countless trails and hikes we took was punctuated by constant expressions of wonder, amazement, and bliss. Personally, I left feeling quite exhausted, afflicted by the myriad ailments that life in today's cities has to offer. I returned rejuvenated in spirit and body, both by the breathtaking, incomparable beauty of this valley that needs no introduction, and by the kindness and helpfulness of the Mussners. We felt as much at home as, if not better, I confess we could have stayed longer for a vacation that will forever remain in our hearts.

New Year’s Eve stay

Very pleasant stay thanks to the kind and helpful hosts. Clean, new, and well-equipped apartment. No problems with the dog, either. The garage and ski storage are convenient. The city center is within easy reach. Quiet and peaceful place.

Holiday in Val Gardena

My review could be summed up in two words: everything was perfect! The brand-new, spotlessly clean apartment was large and spacious for two adults and two children. The kitchen was fully equipped, from a dishwasher to a toaster, new pots and pans, and plenty of dishes. The terrace was large enough to enjoy lunch or relax on a lounge chair while admiring the view and listening to the sound of the river flowing nearby. The house was very quiet; we couldn't hear any noise from the adjacent apartments. The delightful hosts, Mattia and Rita, were incredibly welcoming and helpful from the very first moment. They made sure the apartment was ready earlier than expected because we had an early departure, and they gave us advice on hikes and things to do with our children. They also have a partnership with the tourist office: they gave us free tickets for all public transportation in Val Gardena. It's also thanks to them that our holiday was and will be unforgettable.
