I could write a treatise explaining why you shouldn't miss the opportunity to stay at "Come una Volta," telling you about the beautiful apartment where nothing is missing (including bowls for our dog), where you'll find comfortable bathrobes just like in the finest hotels, and where upon your arrival you'll find organic, locally sourced breakfast products in the fridge (my son is already longing for mountain butter). I could also tell you that from the first contact, Caterina provides you with all the information you need to make your stay in Valtellina wonderful. It's almost too easy to recommend trying their extra breakfast at the beginning of your holiday because you'll definitely want to repeat the experience. Personally, I won't recommend friends to go to "Come una Volta" if they come to Valtellina, I will recommend coming to Valtellina specifically to go to "Come una Volta".

Relaxing and comfortable

We stayed as a three-person group (two adults and a child) in a magnificent apartment that could comfortably accommodate six people. The vacation home is located in the center of town in a traditional stone house, beautifully preserved in its original structure. Even before our departure, we appreciated the thoughtfulness of the hosts, Caterina and Umberto, who sent us valuable and detailed information about the activities for adults and children organized by various local governments and associations during our week. The welcome was truly pleasant: although our arrival was later than expected, they thoughtfully helped us make up for it for dinner. The apartment assigned to us is truly beautiful, bright, and spotlessly clean. Every detail has been carefully designed and fully equipped, both in terms of the kitchen—we found local yogurt, butter, and milk in the refrigerator, and artisanal jams, coffee, milk, oil, and various spices in the pantry—and in terms of linens, as we found towels, bathrobes, slippers, and an abundance of toiletries. Caterina and Umberto are available and attentive, responding immediately to any requests. All in all, a wonderful experience: it was a pleasure not only to stay in Sondalo at this "Casa Come Una Volta" (House Like Once Upon a Time), but also to return home after long walks knowing we'd find a very comfortable environment...and Stellina the dog there to greet us with her wagging tail.

Feeling at home!

Caterina and Umberto are perfect hosts. They welcome you like true guests, are always available for advice, and above all, they make you feel at home, offering truly relaxing moments. The space is generous, allowing you to share the stay with close friends. Highly recommended, especially since the location is just 15 minutes from Bormio!

Fabulous

We were fortunate enough to stay for a few days in this splendid home; everything was so good and authentic! We were assigned a bright, spacious apartment that sleeps six, with original furnishings, embroidered bed linens, and grandma's timeless, colorful tiled blankets! From the living room balcony, you can admire a breathtakingly beautiful view! Caterina, the host, was punctual and precise with her information, present, but never intrusive. Don't miss the extra breakfast prepared and served by the hosts: simple, authentic, and in a romantic atmosphere. Congratulations!

Warm and welcoming environment for the rest of the mind

We stayed five days at the "Come una Volta" Holiday Home, deeply appreciating the hospitality and attention to detail. The love for the home and the hospitality shown to its guests made our time in the apartment truly pampering. The rooms are spacious and warm, and the furnishings have been lovingly restored. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the breakfast selection is generous. Finally, for those who enjoy snow sports, there are common areas for storing wet skis and boots. Ours was a wonderful experience and we thank the owners and their lovely family for this opportunity.
