The farm, run by the Plunger family, is located above Siusi, at the foot of the Sciliar, one of the symbols of South Tyrol. From the farm you can start a lot of hiking paths and thanks to the bus stop at 50 meters you can easily reach the Alpe di Siusi.
In the farm of the Plunger family you will find a lot of animals, that will make children and adults happy. The spacious garden is perfect for spending moments of relaxation.
The farm offers 3 spacious apartments equipped with every comfort, and two rooms with balcony, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view.
In the morning you can taste delicious farm products, like fresh milk and eggs, and homemade jams.

Wonderful location

We stayed for two weeks at the Plunger family's farm (Hof). The location was stunning, and the people were wonderful: the lady who welcomed us and who we interacted with throughout those two weeks was incredibly kind and friendly. The location is stunning, just outside Castelrotto on the Via San Valentino road that leads to the Alpe di Siusi. We stayed in the attic apartment on the top floor, which I thought was the most beautiful because it offered a view of the entire valley and the mountains. We also found it to be the most breezy. We really enjoyed our stay, as well as Castelrotto, which is just five minutes from the farm: a beautiful village I hadn't visited before, and very charming even for those who aren't able to hike or take in the sights. It's a lovely, well-maintained village, perfect for strolling, and well-stocked with shops: there's a Despar and a Coop where they sell excellent butcher's products, as well as a bakery and pastry shop. There are also other shops and small markets, where obviously the prices are a bit higher than at home. What can I say? We'll definitely be back because we loved the location and the new furnishings. Furthermore, the farmhouse is well-maintained, clean, and most importantly, fully equipped with almost everything. The bedroom is very spacious, with a terrace accessible from both the kitchen and the bedroom, which was well-ventilated. The bathroom is large, with a nice shower and a skylight, allowing plenty of fresh air. They offer a bread and milk service, along with plates of local cured meats, which we didn't partake of. If we return, we will. The hostess was very kind, and towels were changed during the week, which we didn't have to ask for and, in fact, weren't expecting. My son and his partner came to visit us for three days, during which we were able to use the double sofa bed in the large kitchen, which was very comfortable. If we ever return to the Alpe di Siusi, which we haven't fully explored, I think we'll return to this farm and recommend it. Thank you to the family who runs the property for everything, and thank you for your hospitality and excellent cleanliness. We hope to see you soon.

Abbiamo soggiornato per due settimane presso il maso (Hof) della famiglia Plunger. Splendida esposizione e splendide persone: la signora che ci ha accolto e con la quale abbiamo sempre avuto a che fare in queste due settimane è stata gentilissima e molto cordiale. La posizione è stupenda, appena fuori da Castelrotto sulla Via San Valentino che porta all’Alpe di Siusi. Noi eravamo nell’appartamento mansardato all’ultimo piano, a mio avviso il più bello perché si godeva della vista su tutta la vallata e le montagne. Inoltre, secondo noi era anche più ventilato. Ci siamo trovati davvero molto bene, così come anche a Castelrotto, che si trova a cinque minuti dal maso: un bellissimo paese che io non conoscevo e molto carino anche per chi magari non riesce a fare sentieri o camminate. È un bel borgo, tenuto molto bene, dove si può passeggiare e ben fornito di negozi: ci sono una Despar e una Coop dove vendono prodotti molto buoni di macelleria, panetteria e pasticceria. Ci sono anche altri negozi e piccoli market, dove ovviamente i prezzi sono un po’ più alti rispetto a quelli che abbiamo a casa. Che dire, torneremo sicuramente perché ci sono piaciuti tantissimo la posizione e l’arredamento nuovo. Inoltre, il maso è tenuto bene, è pulito e soprattutto fornito di quasi tutto. La stanza da letto è molto ampia, con una terrazza alla quale si poteva accedere sia dalla cucina che dalla camera da letto, che quindi era ventilata. ll bagno è grande, con una bella doccia e con abbaino, dal quale poteva entrare molta aria. Viene offerto un servizio di pane e latte, con piatti di affettati del territorio e del quale noi non abbiamo usufruito. Se torneremo, lo faremo. La signora è stata molto gentile e durante la settimana c’è stato il cambio di asciugamani che noi non abbiamo dovuto chiedere e che anzi non ci aspettavamo. Mio figlio e la compagna sono venuti a trovarci per tre giorni durante i quali abbiamo potuto usare il divano letto matrimoniale che si trovava nella grande cucina, molto comodo. Se dovessimo tornare sull’Alpe di Siusi, che non abbiamo visitato completamente, penso che torneremo in questo maso e lo consigliamo. Grazie di tutto alla famiglia che gestisce la struttura e grazie per la vostra ospitalità e per l’ottima pulizia, speriamo di vederci presto.

Welcome with a smile

My husband and I had a wonderful short vacation in an apartment on the farm, thanks in large part to Cristina's smile and her amazing breakfasts. The location is beautiful, surrounded by authentic nature (it's wonderful to hear only the sounds of the cows in the adjacent barn) and well connected to the Siusi plateau and the villages in the valley.

Holiday farm with heart

Very welcoming hosts, a wonderful, clean, and beautiful holiday apartment and rooms, a superb breakfast, and a fantastic location with views of the Schlern mountain and down into the valley towards Seis. We've been going there for 14 years. In short, a holiday farm with a lot of heart.
