Panoramic position

Excellent location both for the view overlooking the village of Castelrotto and its sunset, and for its proximity to the splendid Alpe di Siusi ski area. The local transport service is almost impeccable, as I would personally add a few more evening trips to and from Val Gardena. The people who hosted us were extremely kind and welcoming.

An experience to be repeated

Like every year, we spend our holidays in these parts, and this year we found accommodations at this property. I must say that we've enjoyed our stay everywhere in the area; after so many years, we've even found our go-tos, but here we felt right at home. It's a very quiet place, a little outside the town of Castelrotto, but it's a 5-minute drive away by public transportation, with a stop right outside the house. From San Michele, it's also a 10-minute walk. The apartment is very clean, fully equipped, very bright, and from the balcony, there's a view of the world—as I always say, spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The opportunity to use the garden produce and eat it, especially for those of us who live in the city and are certainly not accustomed to the scents and flavors of the land, is unique. The bag of fresh bread in the morning, and maybe even a couple of doughnuts upon request, that you find on the doorstep, is exceptional. The people are very kind and helpful, with a truly family-like atmosphere; for anything you need, just ask. I can't say anything else other than that we'll definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality.

Fantastic Christmas Holidays

During the Christmas holidays, my family and I stayed in the magnificent Grafhof apartment, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Fill. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived until we left. They were always kind, courteous, and ready to offer a thousand compliments. Castelrotto is a strategic location for those skiing on the Alpe di Siusi and close to Ortisei for those who want to ski in Val Gardena. It's also an excellent location for visiting the Christmas markets. Finally, Mrs. Petra is always cheerful and attentive to our every need, and invaluable in recommending mountain huts and mountain dairies to visit! Oh, and I forgot something very important: as soon as you arrive, Mrs. Petra gives you a free bus pass for the cable car to Siusi or Ortisei, valid for your entire stay. The bus stop is in front of the Grafhof house, so it's very convenient.

Christmas in Castelrotto

I only spent one night at the Grafhof, but I had a great time. Petra welcomed us and made us feel like family. The room was spotless, the bathroom impeccable. The view from the balcony was simply breathtaking! In the morning, a rich breakfast prepared by Petra's mother-in-law was served in their home, in a private Tyrolean-style living room... Everything was perfect.
