The birth of the ancient post dates back to the mid-1800s, a place of rest and refreshment for travelers and first daredevil tourists who ventured to discover the Dolomites, now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A long story of men and women, who crossed Europe from north to south to reach Italy and discover the beauty of the country.
The Inn Al Capriolo is ideally located. Just a few kilometers from the Queen of Dolomites, Cortina d’Ampezzo, and other ski lifts of San Vito di Cadore.
Adjacent to the walk of the former railway, the facility is located in a mountain landscape of incomparable beauty, where it is cuddled, but at the same time protected by the wonderful Monte Antelao.
The rooms are characterized by furnishing elements of the old post office. The floors, strictly in wooden parquet, the original beams of the old barns, trunks, wardrobes, chest of drawers and ancient majolica stube, make guests experience emotions from that romantic past and of the famous guests that the Inn has hosted in its glorious past.
