Sky Explorers – Astronomy Hike

Hiking boots on, binoculars at the ready and eyes turned skywards. A walk with the Wild Routes guides to discover the stars and other celestial bodies that have fascinated humankind for thousands of years.

We’ll set off to discover the beauty of the night sky, immersed in an environment where artificial light is so faint that it allows a panoramic view of the wonders of the cosmos.

Level: This hike is suitable for people accustomed to walking on easy hiking trails, including children over 8 years.

If there is snow on the ground, the guide will also provide snowshoes (an extra €5).

The tour also includes a visit to the Polse di Cougnes Astronomical Observatory to view celestial bodies through a telescope.

Difficulty: 5 km in length with a 250 m elevation gain.

NB: The observatory is run on a voluntary basis; a voluntary donation is recommended and appreciated.
