Cortina Dobbiaco Run

The Cortina Dobbiaco Run is the most scenic run in the Dolomites: a multisensory experience that combines sport, nature and breathtaking landscapes along one incredible route.

On 31 May 2026, hundreds of athletes from across Europe and beyond will compete and be inspired along the 30 km course linking the Queen of the Dolomites, Cortina d’Ampezzo, with the renowned resort of Dobbiaco, in the heart of the Alta Pusteria.

The race begins on Corso Italia in the centre of Cortina, before heading after just a few kilometres into the charm of the former Dolomites railway. Here, the gravel path climbs gently through tunnels carved into the rock and over small bridges suspended above the void, always framed by the peaks of the Dolomites.

The highest point is reached at Passo Cimabanche (1,530 m), the natural watershed between Veneto and South Tyrol, before descending gently towards Lake Landro and offering runners the iconic view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, prior to crossing the finish line beside the Grand Hotel in Dobbiaco.

In addition to the main race, the weekend features six events over three days, including runs for all ages and abilities – from the Spring Night Run to the Kids Run and the charity Run FOR – creating a festive and inclusive atmosphere that attracts more than 3,000 participants from around the world each year.

A unique event where natural beauty and sporting passion meet, perfect for those who wish to experience the mountains from a new perspective, running through forests, alpine lakes and legendary panoramas.
