Great War Museum Opening
Exhibition on the Great War in Serauta
At the Serauta cable car station, visitors can explore the Marmolada Great War Museum at 3,000 metres. Completely renovated and expanded in 2015, the museum offers a compelling visual and multimedia journey that begins with life in the early 20th century and continues through the daily realities of war in the high mountains. This is one of the most fascinating and unique aspects of the First World War, as never before had battles been fought at such extreme altitudes.

Until 5 October 2025, the Mario Rimoldi Museum of Modern Art will host an exhibition dedicated to the late local artist Paolo Gabriele Barozzi – painter, illustrator, and art decorator. Having passed away prematurely on 15 June last year, Paolo left behind not only his paintings, full of masterful technique and deep sensitivity, but also recognisable "traces" scattered throughout the Ampezzo Valley and beyond.
