Santa Lucia Arrives on Alpe Cimbra!!!

On Alpe Cimbra, the magic of tradition comes alive with the arrival of Santa Lucia, the beloved "Saint of Light" awaited by children and adults alike. In an enchanting winter landscape, where snow blankets the villages and the mountains sparkle with a thousand lights, a heartwarming event brings to life the charm of old customs.

Through the streets of the Cimbrian villages, Santa Lucia arrives with her little donkey, bringing gifts and smiles to children. Families can enjoy unique moments filled with stories, songs, the aroma of traditional sweets, and a truly festive atmosphere.

This ancient tradition, a symbol of generosity, light, and hope, also celebrates the deep connection to the land and culture of Alpe Cimbra — a place where winter turns into pure magic and the spirit of Christmas is experienced in its most genuine form.


Program:

- Folgaria – Parade through the village streets with Santa Lucia’s donkey, the Folgaria Schützen, and the children. Hot chocolate distribution at the end. From 4:30 p.m.

- Serrada – Santa Lucia arrives at 5:00 p.m., starting from loc. Plota. All children accompany Santa Lucia and her donkey through the village streets. A small gift for every child and hot chocolate under the tree.

- Carbonare – Santa Lucia arrives in the square with sweets for children. From 6:30 p.m.

- San Sebastiano – Santa Lucia arrives at the Civic Center from 5:00 p.m.

- Lavarone – The magic of Santa Lucia lights up Lavarone! At the Municipality, fr. Gionghi from 6:00 p.m.

- Vigolo Vattaro - Saint Lucy arrives along the streets of the historic centre of Vigolo Vattaro at 5:30 p.m.

- Centa San Nicolò - Saint Lucy in Centa San Nicolò. The parade with the strozega will start from the Fire Station, where children can hand in their letters. From 5:30 p.m.

- Bosentino - Strozega parade with the arrival of Saint Lucy in the Church Square of Bosentino. From around 6:00 p.m.

- Vattaro - At 5:30 p.m., the strozega parade will start along the village streets, with Saint Lucy arriving in Piazza San Rocco and the distribution of a warm snack.
