Discover the magic of Christmas with a moonlit snowshoe hike to the Mein Sawmill

Experience the enchanted Christmas atmosphere in Trentino with a nighttime snowshoe walk through the snowy woods of Alpe Cimbra, along the picturesque trail leading to the historic Mein Sawmill.

The meeting point is Saturday, December 30 at 8:30 PM at the bell tower of San Sebastiano (Folgaria), the starting point for this guided experience led by expert instructors from the Italian Ski School of Folgaria.

Amid muffled silence, trees illuminated by moonlight, and fresh snow crunching underfoot, each step becomes a dive into the magic of winter. On the roughly 3 km round‑trip route, guides will share local stories, curiosities, and hidden tidbits of the area. With a bit of luck, you may even catch sight of a woodland animal moving quietly under the starry sky.

At the end of the hike, in the enchanted setting of the Mein Sawmill, you’ll enjoy a cozy gathering with hot mulled wine and traditional Trentino sweets, shared around the fire in the warm glow of the holiday spirit.
