Azzurra Summer 2026: the Italian national basketball team returns to Folgaria

The men’s national basketball team returns to Alpe Cimbra for its traditional summer training camp. From 10 to 20 August 2026, the Azzurri will be in Folgaria to prepare for their upcoming international fixtures, as part of the qualification campaign for the 2027 World Cup.

The players, led by head coach Luca Banchi, will be staying at the Golf Hotel and will train at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Piazzale Nazioni Unite, with sessions open to the public (timetable to be confirmed).

The training camp will conclude with the Trentino Basket Cup, now in its twelfth edition: Italy will face Estonia on Saturday 22 August at 7.30 pm at the BTS Arena. An unmissable event for fans and enthusiasts, marking the Azzurri’s return to Trento.

The training camp once again confirms the strong bond between the Italian Basketball Federation and Trentino, with Alpe Cimbra increasingly establishing itself as the ideal destination for preparing for major sporting events, thanks to its high-quality facilities, natural surroundings and excellent hospitality.
