Pawigl Bread Time - join the experience of traditional bread baking
Join in the experience of traditional bread baking in a mountain farm of South Tyrol! On the old farmsteads of Pavicolo, a small village on the southern slopes of the Vigiljoch mountain near Lana, this ancient craft is still kept alive by the local inhabitants.
Visitors can easily reach these two old farmsteads (the Stuberhof and Buchrast farms), where the traditional "Pawigler Paarlen" rye loaves are still made.
The event will be held at the Pawigler Wirt tavern where the small farmers’ market takes place and visitors can see how an ancient mill works, how wool is made, (from the Spinning of the yarn to the end product), how farmer’s butter and craft cheeses, as well as spelt pasta are produced the traditional way.
