Drago Vaia Trail 2025

UISP Vicenza and Trento, in collaboration with the Municipality of Lavarone, APT Alpe Cimbra Lavarone, and various local associations, is organizing the 3rd edition of the DRAGO VAIA TRAIL on Sunday, October 19, 2025 – a UISP-certified mountain running event.

The confirmed distances are 20 km and 12 km, with start and finish in Loc. Gionghi, Lavarone (TN).

Weighing 6 tons, 16 meters long and 7 meters high, the Drago Vaia is the largest wooden dragon sculpture in the world. Created by artist Marco Martalar using over 3,000 roots from Storm Vaia, it symbolizes both memory and rebirth. This new Dragon is not only a guardian that reminds us of the fragile balance between humans and nature, but also a keeper of stories and resilience. A monument inviting us to remain humble before Mother Nature.


Event Schedule:

7:30 AM – Bib pickup and new registrations

10:00 AM – Start of Drago Vaia Trail 12K and 20K

12:00 PM – Pasta Party

2:00 PM – Awards ceremony and event closure


The event will take place in any weather condition.
