La Zéna Poréta

One of the most authentic winter holiday traditions of Alpe Cimbra returns: La Zéna Poréta, the famous candlelit "poor dinner", which over the years has become a symbol of community, memory and tradition.

This special evening was created to recall the simplicity and warmth of celebrations in the past, when families gathered around the table to share a humble yet carefully prepared meal, made with genuine ingredients and a true desire to spend time together.

It was a moment of reflection and gratitude, when food did not represent abundance but rather a gesture of love and sharing.

Today La Zéna Poréta brings that authentic spirit back to life, inviting everyone to switch off the lights for one evening and be guided only by candlelight and warm smiles, while enjoying dishes that tell the story and roots of our mountain tradition.

Traditional Menu

Pasta e fasòi (pasta with beans)

Pan, formai nostran (bread and local cheese)

Polenta de patate (potato polenta)

Capusi en salata (cabbage salad)

Strudel

Vin contadin and Lavarone spring water

As a keepsake of this special dinner, guests will be able to keep the bowl, glass and ladle provided to enjoy the meal.

The atmosphere will be further enriched by live music, making the evening even more engaging and memorable.

The event is organised by the Municipality of Lavarone in collaboration with the Confraternita, APT Alpe Cimbra, and the Coro Le Fontanelle choir.
