Backstage in the fruit cooperative CAFA

Discover the story of the South Tyrolean apple in Merano! This apple tour every Tuesday at 10 am of Merano’s fruit cooperative CAFA will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. After a short introductory film, you can explore the entire cooperative in the company of our apple expert Franz and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple.

Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples’ goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. To round off the tour there is a brief apple tasting session.

Registration required: Until Monday at 4 PM online under marling.info or at the Tourist Association Marling (either by telephone on +39 0473 447147 or by e-mail to info@marling.info). The event takes place in German.

Prices: adults 4.00 €, 6 to 17 years 2.00 €.
Meeting point: In front of the detail shop at the coop. CAFA in Merano.

The cooperative CAFA is located at Rennstallweg/ Via Scuderie 14 in Maia Bassa/Merano. Every Tuesday, 10 a.m.

ATTENTION! In the months of late July, August, and early September, the guided tour will NOT take place at the CAFA fruit cooperative but in the apple plantages of Marling.
