Traditional Customs and Culinary Festival in Prad

Events such as the Zussl race, Goaßlschnölln (whip-cracking), Machger dance and Tuifl run are just a few examples of the town’s unique cultural heritage.

The full spectrum of living traditions and historic customs will be brought to life for visitors during the Traditional Customs and Culinary Festival, which will take place for the ninth time on 5th October 2025.

The Prad Tourist Association, together with the participating local clubs and associations, warmly invites everyone to enjoy a colourful programme of events throughout the festival.

From local and regional traditions to culinary delights, a large craft and gourmet market, live cooking demonstrations, a skittles alley, atmospheric music and much more, there’s plenty for festival-goers to see and enjoy.

Festival begins at 9:30am with a traditional morning gathering (Frühschoppen) at the main square in Prad.
