The ski season is starting in one of the most spectacular areas of the Dolomtiti Superski. On 13th December, snow permitting, Funivie Marmolada opens for a new and exciting winter season. A modern ski lift divided into three sections that takes you to Punta Rocca at an altitude of 3265 meters in just a few minutes, from which the "La Bellunese" slope starts, which with its 12 km and 1810 meters in altitude is the longest and most exciting slope of the entire Dolomiti Superski area. Winter Olympics (Biathlon competitions)
The world's largest winter sports event will once again take place in Italy.
Exactly 70 years after Cortina and 20 years after Turin, the world's largest winter sports event will once again take place in Italy. Antholz will host the Biathlon competitions. Thus, for the first time in sports history, Olympic medals will be won on South Tyrolean soil. The 25th Olympic Winter Games will take place from 6 to 22 February 2026.
