Forte Strino
Forte Strino is located along the road between the Tonale Pass and Vermiglio.
It lies right next to the current State Road SS 42, about four kilometres from Vermiglio and around six from the Tonale Pass. This Austro-Hungarian fortress was built between 1860 and 1861 at an altitude of 1,538 metres above sea level, with the purpose of controlling and defending the final stretch of the road leading to the pass. War Museum of Vermiglio
The museum is part of the Cultural Centre of Vermiglio, located adjacent to the main state road.
