Small hotel Amalia 

Excellent value for money

The property is perhaps a little dated, but it's clean. That's enough for us, since we go out in the morning for excursions and return in the afternoon to shower, eat dinner, and sleep! The room is spacious, with plenty of room for our suitcases, a closet for clothes, and bedside tables with lights. The balcony is shared with the other rooms on the floor, so privacy is a bit compromised, but our neighbors were very respectful. The bathroom has a comfortable shower, but no bidet. Breakfast is quite varied, both sweet and savory. For example, there was yogurt, various cereals, jams, Nutella, honey, butter, fruit, toast, two or three homemade cakes/doughnuts, bread, cured meats and cheeses, eggs, water, orange juice, coffee, cappuccino, milk, and more. Dinner was a fixed menu; you didn't have the option of choosing between two or three options like in other hotels. But if you didn't like something, just let us know in the morning and they'll make you something else without a problem. The property has private parking, of course. It also has a small garden with loungers and swings. The location is convenient for reaching any part of Alta Val Badia. Wi-Fi works well. The best thing is the excellent quality/price ratio; I don't know if there's another place in Alta Val Badia with such a competitive price for half board.

Highly recommended

Simple, family-run guesthouse, excellent value for money, spotlessly clean, excellent food, very close to the ski lifts... what more could you ask for? A special thanks to Rosemary, always available and smiling, and to her son who delighted us in the kitchen with Ladin delicacies. Keep it up!

Welcoming and familiar

It's like feeling at home, in a very familiar and welcoming atmosphere. Mrs. Amalia's cooking is excellent, and she always strives to please her customers with delicious food and a focus on children's needs. The cleanliness is impeccable.

Welcoming and familiar

Pension Villa Amalia is strategically located. It's perfect for those with dogs, as the riverside path runs right behind the house. Mrs. Amalia's cuisine is authentic and simple, with every dish prepared with love. The atmosphere is comfortable and clean, and the garden is beautiful with games, a swing, benches, and a ping pong table. I highly recommend it.

Feeling at home

A family-friendly atmosphere where everything is done with guests' satisfaction in mind. Mrs. Amalia is always extremely kind and ready to accommodate any request. We just spent the 2016 Immaculate Conception long weekend there. We had a wonderful time. The place is very quiet, ideal for families, with home-cooked food that's simple yet delicious (the goulash, dumplings, and strudel, which Mrs. Amalia lovingly prepares, are unparalleled). Not to mention the delicious jams (strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries), always homemade and served at breakfast. What we appreciated most, however, was the incredibly fair price, something that is becoming increasingly rare in Val Badia. In fact, upon our departure, Mrs. Amalia gave us an additional €5 discount per night and didn't even charge us for the wine. Thank you! We'll definitely be back. It's a shame we didn't discover it sooner!
