Small hotel away from busy destinations

In a valley far from the touristy areas, this hotel enjoys a beautiful location with breathtaking views from the dining room and some rooms. The wellness area is small but well-maintained, with an outdoor hot tub, a traditional sauna, and a biosauna. Friendly, family-friendly staff are ready to accommodate every need. Convenient ski storage. In our opinion, the room and bathroom furnishings could use some updating, but the spaces were very clean. We recommend a wider choice of menu for dinner, as we offer a fixed menu, with the option to change it only if you have specific needs.

The light of Ciurnadù

Returning to Ciurnadù, now, is a bit like coming home. And if returning home means returning to a place of welcome, of smiles, of kind manners and words that envelop and instill serenity, of the scent of morning coffee, of the beloved taste of good things, of music and silence where you can let go, the place where your gaze meets wonder and your mind is lost in the embrace of simple, authentic things of inexpressible beauty, then yes, for us, returning to Ciurnadù means leaving home to return... home. At Ciurnadù even the light and colours are unique and special and create delicate, soft, sweet and brilliant hues and the gaze over the woods and peaks at any time of day arouses emotions like the pages of a book by an excellent poet. Snowfall in La Val

The stay was very comfortable. The hotel is located in a very scenic area: splendid views from the rooms and the dining room. The cuisine is excellent, with Ladin specialties. The owners and staff are very kind and friendly. A wonderful vacation.

Perfect

The hospitality and kindness were incredible. The cuisine was excellent: natural, simple, and delicious. Simplicity and cleanliness are its strengths. Respect for nature was paramount. The real mountain

I recommend a relaxing break at the Ciurnadú Hotel to anyone who wants to escape from everyday life. The hotel's location is magical, surrounded only by mountains, where silence reigns supreme, and the view is spectacular. The hotel is family-run, and the Rubatscher family takes great care of their guests and maintains a warm, family atmosphere. The food and breakfast are excellent, plentiful, and feature typical local products. The rooms are very clean. The outdoor hot tub under the stars is amazing. The family welcomes animals. From the property, you can go on many walks and hikes, and for those who want to ski, you can take the ski bus or, with your own transport, reach all the ski resorts in Alta Badia in just a few minutes. The quality/price ratio is more than excellent!

A hotel in the woods

The hotel is located within the park and boasts an excellent view of the mountain above, the valley, and the forest. Kindness reigns supreme throughout the property: Rita is warm and generous in her hospitality, as are her son Matteo and the other staff. To recharge after long hikes and walks to high-altitude refuges and parks, dinner is a rich selection of Ladin dishes, with second helpings to follow. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

We did it again!

Yes, we did an encore, we returned to Val Badia and returned to Ciurnadù. However, we don't want to repeat the words we've already used to describe our first encounter, such as peace, flavor, openness, kindness, elegance, harmony. We'll look for other ways to describe the days spent at Ciurnadù. They were days in which we were once again surprised by the enchantment of so many completely new images. New places, new views, new topics, and new emotions that enriched us and settled within us. Other images delicately overlapped, confirming the wonder and magic of the place. It was like asking for an encore, an encore of our favorite melody, of the prose that moves us most, or of a dish that tastes excellent. This is returning to Ciurnadù, an encore of authentic emotions, of well-being, of kindness, and of hospitality. Overlapping yet always different frames, imprinted in the mind and unforgettable, like the pages of a good book, the dialogue of a great film, the colors and landscapes of a fine painting. Spell

I left yesterday and I'm already nostalgic. It's a beautiful place. The owners and staff are helpful and friendly. It's an enchanting place, where I could live forever. 3 days in Val Badia

Dream stay!

A family-run hotel located in a fairytale setting, surrounded by snow-capped mountains that were tinged with infinite shades of color at sunrise and sunset. Strengths: professional, empathetic, and never intrusive hospitality; thorough and timely housekeeping with mid-week bed and bath linen changes; compliance with COVID regulations with table spacing, hand sanitizer in every common area, and the use of masks by all staff—a kind reminder even to "distracted" guests; services: maximum availability to respond to requests; wellness area organized with reservations that prevented crowding in the sauna, outdoor jacuzzi, and relaxation room with herbal tea corner; cuisine: excellent traditional Ladin dishes, presented with care and originality; the single menu with the option of seconds was much appreciated; superb breakfast, rich in both sweet and savory options, exceptional speck, various types of bread, delicious jams, excellent cheeses, and the scent of croissants from 7:30 a.m.; An original and delicious New Year's Eve dinner with fireworks at midnight—all enjoyed in front of a window overlooking a breathtaking view! Pets are welcome: our Labrador, Tiffany, has made friends with that shy Balù. There's plenty of outdoor parking available. Weaknesses: ...I can't find any.
