Hotel Lech da Sompunt 

It’s a shame I only discovered it now.

I've been coming to Val Badia for many years, and this year I had trouble booking hotels I'd stayed at in previous years. I chose randomly and was pleasantly surprised. The location is unique: incredibly quiet and... right on the Sponata slope! All the staff were attentive to their guests' needs and extremely courteous. The cuisine was excellent in both quality and quantity, with customizable menus available. The rooms were upscale for the type of hotel; room 23 had a bathroom window overlooking the beautiful view of the valley! The fitness area was brand new, with a spotlessly clean and well-heated indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi—a real treat for those who love snow-side hydromassage. Finally, excellent value for money. I will definitely be back. Best regards and thanks to all the staff.

Great hotel, fantastic people, delicious food

We spent a week there in January. The staff was truly fantastic, the food was excellent and plentiful, although the breakfast and vegetable buffet was a bit monotonous. Excellent services, new and very clean spa and pool, the only flaw is that the pool water is a bit cold, even the outdoor hot tub if you go in the early afternoon. Excellent location for skiers, direct access to the Sponata red slope. There's a well-maintained, well-equipped lake next to the hotel where you can skate and play curling. Nice children's playroom, with a TV, foosball, and a hockey game (hand and airless), as well as two tables with benches. There is the possibility of having dinner brought forward for children at 7 pm by choosing from the menu, and from 7:30 pm onwards there is the possibility of requesting a babysitter in the games room until the end of dinner at 9:30 pm. In my opinion, they should take a bit more care of the play area, especially since it's under the hotel and near the wellness area, so it's a bit damp. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

Absolute relaxation and excellent cuisine

We spent peaceful and relaxing days at Lech da Sompunt, fully enjoying the beauty of the mountains, the top-notch services of the facility, and the exquisite goodness of the dishes prepared by the chef. Manfred, Francesca, and the entire staff are always available to offer advice and welcome everyone into their home with a warm smile. Manfred's mother, who at over 80 works tirelessly, is the star of the Thursday Ladin dinner, after which she was duly applauded for preparing, along with the rest of the staff, a feast of mouth-watering dishes (we had seconds of the barley soup, the best we've ever had!). Dinner features a buffet of cooked and raw vegetables, accompanied by a different selection each evening (fish, meat, etc.), which is a great start. The numerous courses are all generously portioned (choice of one first course or one second course every other day), beautifully presented, and truly amazing in taste and flavor. We've rarely eaten so well at a hotel. My heartfelt compliments to the chef, too, for the breakfast buffet, which changes every day and is filled with mouth-watering sweet treats (along with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, cured meats, cheeses, eggs, all kinds of bread, and jams!), along with freshly prepared hot drinks and soy milk for those who are lactose intolerant. The glass-enclosed swimming pool overlooking the Fanes-Senes-Braies mountain range is fantastic, the outdoor whirlpool is delightful (although small), and the spa is wonderful, with a Turkish bath, sauna (which can be accessed without a swimsuit), relaxation room, herbal tea corner, massage room, and gym. The first nights we stayed in a standard attic room and we had a great time as the cleanliness was top notch and also the soundproofing, while on the last night (we extended our stay because we were so comfortable!) they gave us 1 Comfort room with balcony for the same price as the Standard, definitely nicer! Hotel with ample parking, convenient to numerous hiking trails, just a few kilometers from La Villa and Badia, and a restaurant open to non-residents. The property also includes two residences, one attached to the hotel and located on the lake with an adjoining bistro, and the other a few meters above, along the trail leading to La Villa. Thank you all for making us feel so good! We'll definitely be back!
