Great stay

I stayed for a week in August with my wife and adult son. It's a family-run guesthouse with a truly delightful owner. The restaurant service is also excellent. The property is on the outskirts of town, but the center, where bars and shops are located, is just a short walk away.

Excellent pension

When we arrived at this simple yet comfortable and very clean property, we made a pleasant discovery. The property is a bit dated, but if you're looking for a quiet, clean place, with friendly, welcoming staff, and just 800 meters from the ski lifts, you've found the right place. Highly recommended!

Very welcoming

A welcoming, clean, and simple guesthouse. Gunter, a truly special person, makes you feel at home, always available for any information or request; he's always in the kitchen, which is crucial. Dinner features traditional Ladin dishes... we really enjoyed it!

Great stay

Simple, mountain-style atmosphere, excellent food, and a very friendly owner. Very clean. The ski lifts are within walking distance if you leave your skis and boots in the storage room at the gondola base.

5 days on snowshoes

The atmosphere is simple but clean. Good food and Gunter and his father are very friendly and helpful. What they lack is a place to gather.

Simple but ideal

We stayed during the week of August 15th. The guesthouse is very simple, but clean, spacious, and the food is excellent. You can walk to the town center and enjoy the beautiful views. From there, we reached the Marmolada, the Tre Cime del Lavaredo, and Lake Braies. Everyone was very friendly. Perhaps breakfast could be improved. If you go, bring shampoo and shower gel.

Perfect

When my wife and I arrived, there was nothing better than being greeted by Gunter, an extraordinary, kind, and always smiling person. It was our first time in San Cassiano, and I think we'll be returning to the Scunei guesthouse next year. The tranquility was unparalleled, as was the courtesy of the staff, not to mention the rooms with balconies and breathtaking views. The rooms were immaculately clean, something I'd never experienced even in the 4-star hotels my wife and I stayed in. The cuisine was traditional, with soups boasting the flavors and aromas of haute cuisine. Breakfast was plentiful. Information on places to see and climb was always prompt and precise. Nothing to envy of our native Sardinia, on the contrary! Everything was perfect. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to vacation without losing the comforts of home. Once you meet Gunter and his staff, you'll never feel like you've left home. Thanks for everything, Gunter! Warm hugs and greetings from Bruno and Graziella.
