Hotel Villa Waldheim 

A pleasant discovery!

I'll start by saying that I have a slight preference for family-run establishments. I found the owners to be helpful, friendly, and professional from the moment I arrived, with pick-up at the train station, having reached the location by train. We were generally satisfied, but the hotel's cuisine, in particular, was excellent. And I say this with full knowledge of the facts, for three reasons: first, I've traveled and eaten food all over the world; second, I work in the food industry, directing and hosting a web TV show on the subject; and third, my son is a professional chef. The cuisine is basic, but with truly meticulous attention to detail: choice of ingredients, cooking, flavor, and presentation. Another positive aspect is the cleanliness of the rooms. Overall, we were satisfied with the experience and will definitely repeat it in the future!

Week in San Candido

Enchanting location: surrounded by nature but close to the center

Welcoming, strategic location next to the ski school (with a view of Baranci) and a few minutes from the center, friendly staff, cleanliness, tranquility, excellent cuisine.

Ideal location for a skiing holiday

The wait staff is excellent and welcoming. The atmosphere is family-friendly and welcoming. We returned after many years and found many wonderful new features. We will definitely be back.

Family hotel

Family-run hotel located on a hill near the Baranci slopes. Refined cuisine prepared with care and attention. Excellent Wi-Fi. In my opinion, the entertainment could be improved a bit.

A relaxing stay

After a few years, we returned to Villa Waldheim for a couple of days. The location is truly beautiful, in a quiet area just steps from the center of San Candido; a convenient starting point for excursions to nearby areas (Lake Braies, Brunico, etc.). The welcome and stay were excellent; we were very pleased with the cleanliness and the staff's expertise during this Covid period, which gave us a sense of security and serenity. The food was excellent, well-prepared, impeccably presented, always varied, and with typical Tyrolean flavors. We felt pampered at every moment of the day, from breakfast to the candlelit dinner. A sincere thank you to the Basso family and all their staff. See you soon! Yes, we'll definitely be back during the Christmas market season, where the atmosphere is sure to be enchanting.

Beautiful guesthouse

The guesthouse was very attractive from the outside. The room was also lovely, made of wood, and the atmosphere was peaceful.

Simply three beautiful days

Just returned home after spending a few days at this beautiful property with my family. The hotel is beautiful, with attention to every detail, very spacious rooms, and impeccable cleanliness. Not to mention the friendliness of the Basso family, who are truly delightful and helpful. The breakfast is exquisite, with everything you could want. Dinner was delicious, with excellent dishes and truly beautiful presentation. We truly had a wonderful time these three days and highly recommend it to everyone. We will definitely be back!

Excellent structure

Excellent hotel

Excellent hotel in a great location, just steps from the center of San Candido. The staff is friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and amenities are impeccable, and the rooms offer truly picturesque views of Mount Baranci and the town. Definitely an experience worth repeating in the future. Highly recommended!

25-day stay in July 2018

Excellent location for any hiking or biking excursion. The bus stop for Sesto and Val Fiscalina was very close to the hotel. The service was impeccable, both in terms of room cleanliness and the breakfast/dinner area. The courtesy and helpfulness of all the staff was excellent, and the Basso family was very available for any request.

Delicious holiday

A delightful hotel with a fantastic location right on the Baranci ski slopes, easily accessible on skis from the hotel. I stayed there for a week with my partner and a couple of friends with a child. The owners offered a warm welcome, kind and helpful with any requests, and especially patient with our late arrivals. The rooms were comfortable, and the food was excellent, well-prepared, and plentiful. I would love to go back!

It couldn’t be better

Excellent location, on the Baranci slopes and just a short walk from the center. Excellent food and service. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable. We were assigned a very beautiful and spacious suite. The cleanliness and all the amenities were excellent.
