The Hotel La Fonte dominates the plain of Alpe Veglia, a large basin of glacial origin at about 1750 meters above sea level, a Natural Park located at the head of the Val Cairasca, a lateral arm of the Val di Vedro.
To reach it you have to get to the town of Varzo, after Domodossola, on the SS33 road that leads to the Simplon pass.
Once in Varzo, leave the SS33 and turn towards S. Domenico (about 12 Km).
You can park there or continue for 2 km to the Ponte Campo car park, where the road ends.
At Ponte Campo, start the climb along the pathway (400 m of difference in altitude; an hour and a half easy walk).
