In the winter the family ski resort Reinswald offers 14 km of ski tracks, with different difficulties. The Sarntal/Val Sarentino is known as a wonderful ski touring destination, because of its untouched mountains. The valley lies along an important north-south biker route, which contains the Penser Joch/Passo Pennes at the northern end of the valley and is very popular. Due to its central location, the Sarntal valley is the ideal base for bikers, who plan biking tours in the Dolomites located in the East of South Tyrol and tours containing the western passes like the well known Timmelsjoch, Mendelpass/Passo della Mendola or Stilfserjoch/Passo Stelvio.
