Hotel Mareo Dolomites 

Outstanding dining experience and comfortable rooms

We spent a few days here skiing and enjoying fantastic meals in the hotel’s restaurant. We particularly appreciate the food. Breakfast is hearty, offers a wide selection, and eggs or coffee are prepared to order. Dinner is a superb dining experience, featuring a four-course meal followed by an excellent dessert. I would say the dinner experience is the main reason we keep returning to this hotel, as this was our sixth visit. That said, the comfort, cleanliness, staff attitude, and every other aspect of the hotel should not be underestimated. All the amenities are of high quality, and every single detail is carefully attended to by the hotel team. Overall, staying here always feels worthwhile, at any time of year, regardless of length of stay. If there were a rating higher than “exceptional”, I would choose it. My wife and I have visited many luxury resorts around the world, yet nothing compares to this hotel. We cannot wait to return—most likely in a few months.

Place of the heart

We've been visiting Mareo (then called Carmen) for over 20 years, and every year returning is like finding a home, a family. We couldn't do without it.

Excellent experience

I spent five days at the Hotel Mareo and had an excellent experience. The location is excellent, and the staff was friendly and professional from the moment I booked until my arrival. The in-house staff (at the bar, beauty center, and breakfast) were also always attentive and helpful. Friendliness and kindness are truly the key words that describe Hotel Mareo, including the owners, who are always present and very affable. The wine selection is also excellent! I'll definitely be back.

What a lovely hotel and staff

I stayed at the Hotel Mareo Dolomites with my wife, eldest and his family for February Half Term. The rooms were great and the staff was even better. Couldn't have wished for a better team, from the cleaners right through to the manager/owner. The shuttle to and particularly from the ski lifts was efficient and well needed, especially with my knees. If you were there to ski, you were spoilt for choice, as far as slopes were concerned. The facilities at the hotel, catered for all, from beauty treatments to messing about in the pool. I tell you, my legs needed that warm soak to refresh. The breakfasts and dinners were of good quality and the choice of wines was excellent. Overall, we had a really good break. No not my legs!

Impeccable stay in the Dolomites

We spent a wonderful weekend at Mareo Dolomites for a short ski break. The location is strategic, but what really stands out is the atmosphere: an oasis of tranquility, where every detail is designed for guest comfort. The cuisine is excellent, with carefully prepared dishes and quality ingredients. Special thanks to the staff: welcoming, kind, and always available. We'll definitely be back!

A meeting of passion and professionalism

Our second experience at the Hotel Mareo Dolomites: a truly positive one! The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, from room service to breakfast (delicious to say the least), and dinner, a true treat for the palate. We'll definitely be back! Even Ponce, our golden retriever, thanks us with a wagging, satisfied tail. Highly recommended!

Welcoming, luxurious and with a unique touch of personality

Returning to Mareo is like coming home: a familiar and welcoming atmosphere, luxurious yet with that unique touch of personality and character that only the Clara family, both Junior and Senior, can provide. All this is enhanced by Michelin-starred cuisine: I've never eaten so well in a hotel. Every dish is meticulously crafted, and the quality of the ingredients is evident right from the salad buffet, many of which come directly from their own garden. Having not used the spa, I can't comment directly, but the setting is very refined, and the heated pool was truly inviting.

We discovered paradise

We spent eight days in an elegant yet relaxing setting. It was like living in a peaceful and harmonious family. Filippo and his wife, two people always friendly, smiling, and helpful, are supported by a friendly and professional staff. The day begins with a breakfast of top-quality local organic and homemade products, followed by an equally high-quality dinner. All accompanied by the supreme elegance of the hostess, and finally, we conclude in a comfortable and welcoming room where we can fully recharge. It will be our safe place to recharge annually before facing a new year of work. Rating: excellent.

A guarantee

We've been coming to San Vigilio for several years, always at Mareo. Filippo and the staff are perfect, attentive, and meticulous.
