The Krondlhof is located in Riscone, at the foot of the Plan de Corones, in the middle of a fairy-tale landscape and just a short drive from Brunico, the main town of the Puster Valley. The hotel features 30 rooms, each with a private bathroom with shower and toilet, most of them with a balcony and two with garden. The rooms are comfortably furnished in Tyrolean style and equipped with LCD TV and telephone.
The beds are prepared with a comforting, typical Tyrolean duvet; a natural pleasure, pure and simple. A good night’s sleep is the base of everything… (request the beds to be prepared in the traditional way).

Excellent cuisine and good value for money

The hotel is one kilometer from the ski lifts, easily accessible by car, or even better with the hotel's shuttle. The room we had was spacious and comfortable, perhaps just a little basic in its furnishings. The rooms, as well as all common areas, are very clean. The hotel's strong point is its catering, with a very varied and high-quality offering. Abundant breakfast, complete with quality products (I recommend the jams). The pool isn't big, but it was more than enough for my 8-year-olds. There's also a sauna, but I haven't tried it. The facility provided us with the Dolomiti Superskipass, which allowed us to get 4 days of skipass and ski rental for the price of 3.

The table service was exceptional. I'm a vegetarian, and the kitchen accommodated all my requests with impeccable service. The well-appointed rooms were very clean. My husband and I had a wonderful time.

Excellent experience from all points of view

Completely renovated hotel. The dark wood facade is beautiful. There are renovated rooms and a completely new section with designer rooms worthy of a hotel two categories higher. Half-board is spectacular: breakfast and, above all, dinner were top-notch! We loved everything. A special mention for Claudia, the massage and treatment lady: after a day of trekking, she literally makes you feel like you're back to normal!

Plan is the ideal place for families, meeting the needs of athletes, young people, and mothers for shopping. The ski area, while not the largest, can accommodate all levels of skiers. It's easy to meet up with friends at the top of Plan for lunch and then get back on the slopes. All the establishments offer quality food, with prices in line with other places; the bathrooms are always very clean, tidy, and welcoming. There's a culture of hospitality that, in my opinion, is a lesson. In our hotel, we were able to dine, feeling every evening as if we were at a Michelin-starred restaurant. The dishes were impeccably presented, and the taste and quality were top-notch. Perhaps, for the hungriest skiers, the portions might not be generous, but they're sufficient. Highly recommended!

Reception

Aside from the facilities, which were in line with what was promised, we immediately felt at home thanks to the owners' helpfulness. The negative criticism regarding breakfast and dinner needs to be addressed immediately. Perhaps because we're older, we never felt the need to ask for extras. The menus were constantly changing over the two weeks we spent there this summer, and the dishes were carefully presented. Attentive service. A quiet location. We even left with a free gift. If we have no problems, we'll already be thinking about next summer. PS Don't miss the itineraries around Riscone, also suitable for seniors.

Family skiing

We spent a few days in this beautiful hotel during the winter to go skiing. We were given a family suite and a double room, both renovated, comfortable and very spacious. Impeccably clean, with adequate space for both adults and children, as well as for bulky ski equipment. The dinner menu was very well-balanced, generous in size, and delicious. The shuttle service to and from Kronplatz was spotless. The small indoor pool was also nice, but it was a shame that the spa was only for nudists... Good value for money. Recommended!

Positive!

I stayed at this property from February 24 to March 3, 2018, along with three other families with children like ours. I have to say that my overall rating for the quality and price is positive. My only complaint is the lack of a children's menu, which meant we had to come up with something appetizing for them every evening, which created a bit of confusion. The spa is completely new, as are the bathrooms. The triple rooms are spacious and comfortable.
