The Hotel de la Poste - the tradition of hospitality in the heart of the Dolomites!
Born as a place of rest for mail coaches with the first travellers, Hotel de la Poste has kept unchanged the principle of reception since 1835, and is carried on from generation to generation by the Family Manaigo.
Listed as one of the Historical Places of Italy, it is located in the centre of Cortina d’Ampezzo and has always been a meeting place of worldliness.
The hotel has two restaurants, the first in the refined and elegant dining room, the second, for more intimate dinners at the Grill Bar, exquisitely decorated in old Tyrolean style. Each room would have a little story to tell, every photograph hung on the walls bears a date, every showcase displaying pewter possesses its "weight" in time.
The history, the habits, the courtesy and knowledge of the difficult job of hosting are elements that come through clearly in the attention to detail in every corner of the hotel, from research and from the combination of wood and harmonious colours, which are the essential characteristics of the "Post".

The room is spacious, comfortable and authentically from the 50s and it is precisely the one where the famous American writer Ernest Hemingway slept every time he visited Cortina. The cheerful upholstery, in blue, green and white, is still the original as well as the furniture.
