My husband gave me a weekend in the mountains for my birthday, booking me at the Arosea Hotel: what a treat! Nestled in the mountains of the beautiful Val d'Ultimo (which we hadn't seen before, a true paradise for winter snowshoe enthusiasts like us!), the all-natural materials used in the construction, and the authentic scent of wood that fills you as soon as you step through the front door and continues through the immaculately maintained rooms and natural spa. The staff was incredibly kind and always available, the dinner was excellent and well-balanced (the dining room, also beautiful, is entirely made of wood and natural materials), as was the breakfast buffet featuring organic and local products. I don't want to reveal anything about the spa so as not to spoil the surprise... In short, a place to be pampered and to return to again and again!
