A little vacation

The Platterhof is a family-run establishment, nestled in a quiet, panoramic spot on the slope overlooking the village of San Giovanni. It feels like home. The courtesy and helpfulness of the owners and their staff allowed us to spend our short vacation in a simple yet refined setting. We truly enjoyed our stay! Special compliments for the cuisine, the variety of dishes offered, the attention to presentation, and the attentiveness to guest needs. Well done! We want to return, perhaps in the summer, to this perhaps lesser-known but truly enchanting valley!

The welcome and helpfulness exceeded expectations, and the location was beautiful.

First of all, the place offers a beautiful view, the food is excellent, as is the helpfulness of the managers, truly invaluable. The typical mountain structure and the surrounding environment, far from the noise and pollution of the main road in the valley, reinforce the idea of a mountain holiday that continues even after spending the day outdoors. The property is located about three kilometers from the main road, perhaps less, but this shouldn't discourage you in winter as the road is always kept clear and passable, so reaching the property is not a problem. Staying for a week includes a free Holidaypass card, which gives you access to a rich program of activities organized by the tourist association at heavily discounted prices or even free. In short, what more could you want: good food, a beautiful location, helpful hosts, nice rooms, impeccable cleanliness, a free Holiday Pass, and a fair price. We'll definitely be back. Well done!

Great place to regenerate

We had a wonderful time, the hospitality was warm, the dishes were translated into Tyrolean and Italian, and the staff were very willing to adapt the menu for children. There were plenty of opportunities for walking, pets were welcome, and the little ones were very welcome. Overall, we had a great time, and we'll be back!

For a regenerating holiday

A pleasant mountain hotel nestled halfway up the slope with a splendid view, in an excellent and quiet location (removed, but not too far, from the valley road). Suitable for those seeking rejuvenation with easy to moderate hikes—it's located on the "Aurina Valley Sun Trail"—and a starting point for high-altitude mountain huts. Equipped with the essential comforts for its category, we appreciated the food and cleanliness. The owners offered wonderful hospitality, in keeping with South Tyrolean tradition.
