A dream vacation!

We stayed for a week, extending by one night, in Suite Loggia 308 at the Hotel Plavina. This is the new hotel owned by the Theiner family, along with the historic Hotel Zum Mohren, which is also stunning. We had an unforgettable time in the picturesque town of Burgusio, a great base for exploring and discovering the wonderful Venosta Valley and its beauty. The property is a true gem: furnishings, furnishings, and common areas are meticulously designed, and the cleanliness and delightful scents throughout demonstrate the care and attention paid to guests. Our suite was enormous, with a large bathroom (double sink and large shower), a living area with a sofa bed, and an in-room whirlpool tub, perfect for pampering yourself after a day of hiking. In your room you will find a wellness kit with slippers, bathrobe, towel and towels, so DO NOT bring them from home! The indoor pool and spa are wonderful (although I don't approve of bathing suit-free access to the sauna area) with a herbal tea corner and complimentary apples from the management. The relaxation area is stunning, with swing loungers, private loungers for couples, and water beds, not to mention the outdoor garden with a dreamy rectangular hot tub! You'll also find a "silence room" where you can retreat to read or think, immersed in a relaxing atmosphere with colored lights. A gym with new Technogym equipment and yoga and Pilates equipment, a billiards and foosball room, and a reading room with a small library complete the offerings of this truly state-of-the-art facility. They also offer on-site e-bike rental. On the noticeboard near the reception you will find the weekly program of activities organized by the management or in collaboration with the Municipality and the Burgusio Tourist Office. The restaurant is certainly another strong point: on the tables, you'll find your name and room number on a small ceramic decoration, rather than a paper or plastic card. The cuisine is meticulously prepared, from the selection of dishes (meat and fish daily) to their presentation. The management organizes events such as dessert buffets, finger food aperitifs, gala evenings, or live music to further enhance the service provided to guests. The breakfast buffet is a fantastic collection of every sweet and savory delicacy imaginable, even taking into account intolerances (lactose-free and soy-free milk and yogurt, for example!) and you'll never finish eating in the morning! They created an underground tunnel decorated with paintings on the walls to allow Plavina guests to access the restaurant without having to leave on cold days or in case of rain and/or snow: a truly brilliant idea! The staff is professional, kind, and helpful despite the language barrier, especially the waiters, who struggle to communicate. But that's not a problem! We will definitely come back because we were like in Heaven!
