The "Gasthof Moarwirt" is situated in the centre of Gossensass. It is a traditional inn on the historical Brenner Road. In times of the noble tourism, in the years before the war, many poets and artists used to visit this spa at the foot of the Brenner Pass. One of these distinguished guests was the the Norwegian author Henrik Ibsen (1828 - 1906). This original Tyrolean guesthouse has been run by the Stricker family for the last 6 generations.
Both, guests and locals, are well served and feel at home here. The chef and owner of the guesthouse spoils his guests with local and international specialities. The weeks dedicated to a special cuisine are well known. Some examples are the weeks dedicated to the typical dishes of the Valle Isarco, spring cuisine, venison dishes or the yearly French cuisine weeks.
Our guesthouse is suitable for family and office or club celebrations as well as for the traditional South Tyrolean "Törggelen".
