Hotel Abete Blu is a welcoming accommodation facility located in S. Caterina Valfurva, in the heart of the Stelvio National Park. Situated at the entrance of the village, the Abete Blu hotel benefits from its quiet and sunny position just opposite the Deborah Compagnoni cable car. The hotel is characterized by simplicity. The owners are all local mountain people know how to grant you a friendly welcome and can offer you a serene ambience, fulfilling your needs with attentive care in order to make you feel right at home: from the typical cuisine, managed directly by grandmother Ines, to Gianluca, who provides the hotel with milk, butter and cheese on a daily basis, and Massimo, whose friendliness is contagious. All of them are members of a large family that will greet you with a sincere "Welcome home" upon your arrival. This is the Abete Blu!

Very nice structure and family atmosphere

Very nice structure and friendly, family atmosphere. Excellent restaurant. For us, who are passionate skiers, it's one of the best establishments in northern Italy. Very important: it's located 100-200 meters from the ski lifts; park your car, put on your boots, and never take them off again.

Welcoming and very well-kept structure

Excellent family-run hotel

We have never had such a good time, with a very warm welcome and service that has continued at the same level. Ines, Orietta, and Luca aren't just hoteliers, they made us feel like part of the family, and we thank them for that. The hotel is also in a privileged position, in front of the ski lifts. If we add to this 4 fantastic days of sun and snow, we had an excellent holiday, one to repeat.

Feeling at home

We spent a pleasant week thanks to the kindness and courtesy of the hosts. Everything was perfect, from the excellent food prepared by Grandma to the cleanliness of the room and compliance with anti-COVID regulations. Always available to provide information on hikes and places to visit, they slowly introduced us to Valtellina mountain life, even through real-life stories. It's an experience we'd like to repeat and recommend to others.

Guest first of all

We stayed in the middle of August, from the 5th to the 15th, and received a fantastic welcome upon arrival. The hotel is family-run, and guests are never overlooked. The cuisine is exceptional, from breakfast to dinner, featuring many locally sourced products directly from the family farm. The desserts are fantastic and fresh daily. The cuisine features traditional Valtellina dishes. The rooms are spotless and welcoming. The dining room staff are always friendly, helpful, and focused on ensuring guests have everything they need. They have in-depth knowledge of the area and are always ready to offer suggestions on local activities based on the guest's needs. Fantastic, highly recommended.
