We stayed at the Genzianella Hotel for 6 nights. We are a family with two small children: 2 and a half and 4 and a half.
Despite only having one star, the hotel deserves more: the room we stayed in was spacious and welcoming, and above all, very clean. It features typical mountain wood furnishings. The room had a bathroom and a flower-filled balcony. It's in an excellent location for exploring the beautiful Val di Mello (it's just steps from the start of the trail or the shuttle bus) as well as the neighboring valleys. Dinner was very good, and every day we had the option of choosing between two or more options for the first course, second course, side dish, and dessert/fruit. Typical Valtellina dishes were offered daily.
In the outdoor area there were some children's games such as the playhouse and the table football which my parents particularly appreciated.
I would recommend the property to families with children.

Buona accoglienza nella splendida Val Masino
Abbiamo soggiornato nell’albergo Genzianella 6 notti. Siamo una famiglia con due bambini piccoli: 2 anni e mezzo e 4 e mezzo.
L’albergo nonostante abbia una sola stella ne meriterebbe di più: la camera dove abbiamo soggiornato era ampia ed accogliente e soprattutto molto pulita. Arredamento tipico da "montagna" in legno. Camera con bagno e balcone fiorito. In ottima posizione per chi voglia esplorare la bellissima val di mello (è a due passi dalla partenza del sentiero o del bus navetta) ma anche le valli vicine. La cena era molto buona e tutti i giorni avevamo la possibilità di scegliere tra due o più opzioni per il primo, il secondo, il contorno ed il dolce/frutta. Venivano proposti ogni giorno tra le opzioni piatti tipici valtellinesi.
Nello spazio fuori c’erano alcuni giochini per bambini come la casina ed il biliardino che i miei hanno particolarmente apprezzato.
Consiglierei la struttura a famiglie con bambini.
