San Giorgio is a part of the village of Brunico in a distance of 2 km. Without a doubt, San Giorgio is the oldest settlement of the valley of Pusteria, at 821m above sea level. On top you find two hills called "Big and Small Pipe", and besides that, traces of prehistoric castles have been discovered here. Very quiet and located at the entrance of the valley Tures and Aurina, surrounded of big wide land areas, bloomy meadows and the alder planes of Aurino. Across this fabulous landscape stretch the bicycle tracks of the valley of Pusteria and the trails of the Nordic-Walking-Park "Plan de Corones – Dolomiti". This park extends from Brunico over Valdaora to Rasun in the valley of Anterselva, and is one of the biggest in Europe, with 8 marked trails over 220 km, from easy to semi-difficult. Small family establishments do their best, to offer a special holiday atmosphere. Thanks to the free ski-bus it is very easy and comfortable to get from San Giorgio to the nearby ski-carrousel of Plan de Corones.
