Exceptional 10/10

If you seek contemplation without crowds

My partner, my two children (7 and 3 years old) and I climbed the Bonner in August. We chose the path that leads to the right, leaving the dirt road (service road for authorized personnel) on our left. The day was cloudy, and when we arrived at the refuge we couldn't see more than a meter, which increased our expectations for the view that had been described to us. We had booked for dinner, a night's sleep, and breakfast. The view opened up briefly that evening and again the next morning, and it was stunning. The food was simple but authentic. The room was small but comfortable for four, with a view. Great attention to cleanliness. The terrace was magnificent. A chat with the manager about the refuge's origins was not to be missed.
